One of the best skaters ever! Akiko is so underrated. Her PCS was so under marked. She is simply exquisite!
Akiko was really undermarked in the PCS for the SP and LP. For me she deserved the gold or silver. She is truly one of the best skaters ever. Her musicality, attention to detail, beautiful jumps, exquisite spins and footwork make her one of the greatest for me.

This program is such a classical beauty, and she executed it very well. She should have received higher marks in PCS and won Silver, instead.

This skater's skills and persona are so appealing and so I root for her to do well each time she skates. This is a beautiful program for her and though I wanted our US Champ Wagner to medal I think Suzuki did a better LP skate. So...

I love yuna but she does not own blue or any other colour or any piece of music.
Michelle and midori both skated to scheherazade before but they don't own it ... Yuna is free to skate to it and did well.

People into "Iconic" dresses should watch fashion shows, not figure skating ;)
I was more interested in Akiko landing six gorgeous triples of five different types (less common these days), her lively steps and improved positions. Well done Akiko.

개인적으로 난 아키코가 마오보단 낫다고봄.
점프도 대체적으로 힘있고안정된랜딩이고 스텝엣지도 더 잘쓰는거같음. 전반적으로 지루하지않은스피드도 장점인데.
늘점수는 짜게받는듯.

Lol all these 'copying Yuna' speech. :| I love both Akiko and Yuna and I don't see this program as a cheap copy because Akiko has her own style - choreo, jumps, and steps all come together with her exuberant performance. Plus I admire her love for the sport after years of fighting with disease, and her courage to go compete at Worlds at the age of 27. Just calm down and appreciate the beauty of every athlete.

Well, actually I'm SUCH a fan of Mao Asada, and the fact that Mao wasn't in a good moment at this competition just makes me sad!
That was supposed to be MY perfect arabian performance and triple axel, Mao!!!

I usually don't pay much attention to mediocre comments usually made about her dress but why in the world would people want to compare her to Yu Na Kim? I mean seriously, what does Yu Na Kim has what Akiko Suzuki doesn't?

maybe its the dress.. but im seeing alot of yuna in akiko. powerful jumps, so much speed and ice coverage, but lacks the personality that yuna brought to the ice,
because akiko has her own!

The only common thing of your examples is only music, not the choreography.
We are not talking about Yuna.
The thing is whether Suzuki copied Yuna's iconic costume for the Olympics free program or not.
Do you really think that Suzuki's costume design is not imitation of Yuna's one?
I am so disappointed by Suzuki, because she does not feel shame at performing such imitation.

Way too much looking like another Yuna-wannabe. It's kinda compliment for Yuna that Mao and all these Japan. gals wanna copy her, but ppl with their right minds know that there's only one Queen Blue.
I really like Yuna but I don't think TJ ladies are copying her, they even skate differently from each other. Akko-chan just radiates happiness in every skate, that is her trademark. It is something which I don't always see in Yuna or even Mao-chan.
The color of the dress can't be helped. Blue is a common color for costumes among skaters across the world.
Oh please...I know blue is a common color for dresses but the design is such a copycat. Graci's Sochi dress was blue and beautiful but u don't see it's a copycat of Yuna's Gershwin. This one obviously is. It's quite well known the JPN skaters like to copy Yuna, whether in dresses or her gestures , etc. I'm not mad or anything, since I take them as complimens. Just saying.
i still don't agree with you, maybe because i look at the details i.e necklines, the cut
of the illusion mesh, the ruche, the skirt and even the back. the color is also a different degree of blue. same reason as to why TJladies are individually distinctive to me as to others.
i also don't categorize gracie's blue costume as beautiful. fashion is subjective so that maybe the reason.

Alchamei I'm not a hater at all. Just making some points. There are numerous articles and videos that show about how they'd copied Yuna's style. Again, I take it as compliments.
