You can only leave it behind. We come into this world with nothing. We leave it the same way. God bless this woman and I hope these guitars end up finding someone that can make song fill the air.
Man, this is heartbreaking to watch. I lost both my parents in the past couple of years and going through all of their stuff has been super rough. I’m glad to see that these instruments are being well taken care of and in good hands. Was also super excited to see the Picker’s Supply sticker, I had the same one on my old Blazer for years, easily one of the best shops in the state!
Great video. I had that model reverb amp from around 1968 through about 1980. Great memories, great video. I hope you find the right homes for these. Thank you
Man Jeremy! That’s awesome, I live so close to there, so many nice guitars (and amp) in our back yard!! You are doing a wonderful thing!! Need to get a shop open! I love hometown, but we need some vintage stuff again!!
Wow some cool stuff! I always feel sad when I see someone selling off a massive collection because there’s usually a sad reason behind it (ie: need money, lost a loved one, too sick to play, having to downsize due to a move, etc.), but I’m glad to see these instruments get a new lease on life rather than landing in the wrong hands, getting trashed, etc. Thanks for showing us this amazing collection! Btw, I’d hang onto the Fender myself lol. Or at least swap if this one is better than what you have. Same goes for that guitar that you said yours is more beat up than the one she showed you. 😉
Very cool video Jeremy, glad that she has someone she can trust to find homes for those beautiful instruments. I just turned 68 and watching this made me think of making sure my wife has a list of my gear so she can dispose of it properly if I go before she does. 20 guitars of all high quality and types including custom made and I would hate to have her get ripped off.
Man-O-Man. A lot of good old pickin history in that home. I think if that eastman was mahogany it's either an E-6 D or an E-10 D. I know the 10 has the volute. I've had one on my radar for a while. They are quite loud and great sounding/playing dreads. What a cool collection!
Glad you put this together. You have to love those that love guitars, particularly acoustics - where every level of detail matters. I'm interested to hear the L3 and the Eastman. Wasn't it the Eastman she mentioned the word, cannon? As long as I've owned guitars, I've never even played an Eastman. I might have to find one and see what's what. Nice tour and history of a gentleman that loved playing music.
Had a couple of eastmans and played maybe 10. I had one that played and sounded great but it was not loud - kind of a dud I think. however, the others I have played have been excellent. Weirdly the inlay seems to be a struggle point, but I had an eastman parlor that was SO loud for a little guitar, and i've played a few others that really just kick ass. eastmans are great - definitely recommend checking one out. Try to get your hands on one first is my rec.
@@randysrhythm Mine was a limited-run e10p LTD - with the Adirondack spruce. Other parlor i played was the e-20-P - also with adirondack. both were very loud and I'd happily take either!
@@Big_Dumb_Animal I knew a guy who bought an Eastman and ended up selling his vintage martin because he found a sound that was as good but he wasn't afraid to play. if you can bump out a vintage D-28, that's saying something.
Hi Jeremy. I'm going to Nashville for the first time ever in a few weeks. Only going to have a day or two for guitar hunting. What are the best shops there for new and vintage acoustic guitars? I'm looking to play some of the guitars in your "Best under $1K", but would also like to hear some vintage and/or boutique guitars (I would LOVE to play a Huss & Dalton TDM!).Thanks and keep up the great videos. I'm also working on your "Right Guitars Faster" course to help me out - great info!
How much for the Eastman dreadnaught "cannon," and the Washburn Mandolin? (priced individually). The uprights are really cool, but shipping would be a fortune.
That '56 D18 is just...perfection!!! That and "the Canon" are definitely bucket list material!! Best of luck on the sales- she seems like such a sweet Southern Lady! Cheers from Louisiana P[>
@@JeremySheppard As I understand it a widow is usually a wife whose husband is dead, and a widower is a husband whose wife is dead. So in this case I would say that she is selling her late husbands guitar. She is the widow.

Wow! Just WOW!!!
Really??
Great video !! It does pull at my heart strings to see her go though this transition. Bless her heart.

Cool video and nice work documenting her stories with photos.
Really enjoyed this video. Opening up cases, going through the collection. Very cool. Thanks for bringing us along
Man, I LOVE D-18s. All of those instruments look wonderful

Man, I miss the Guitar and Amp Center, Harrisonburg. Warren's shop was one of the best east of the Mississippi.
10/10 Shoyles for the Peavey sticker on the Outback:) cool vid too
This is the deepest compliment I could ever receive. 10 out of 10 Shoyles.
That mandolin gives off some heavy bard vibes, like something that came out of a medieval fantasy tale, such remarkable beauty.
I'd take that Deluxe Reverb.. Like the others, it saddens me to see her have to go through this. It's got to be hard......

I've had three Eastmans, they're fantastic guitars. The E8D (dreadnought) I had qualified as a cannon.

What model eastman was that, the wood looked very nice
There is guitar gold in them there hills.
Awesome video thanks for sharing.
Lots of goodies

Carter Vintage and Gruhns are main stays. North American is awesome for acoustics, rumbleseat is bonkers for electric
Fannys, Eastside and all the pawn shops. Hit them all.

change the power cord on the deluxe

SO HOW DO WE BUY THEM?
wow, how can I buy some of that great stuff, though from Germany?
how much for the fender deluxe reverb?
are these going online for sale?
Thanks for the vedios!
I collect guitar picks!
Steve Earl will probably buy the L3. I bet he loves this show 🤣😁👍
Definitely 3 prong that Deluxe. Modern safety code, and all. Great vid, as always sir!
I think so too... It does sound amazing, can't wait to play it more.
@@JeremySheppard Nothing beats a Deluxe from that time period, it’s a real beauty!
You don't botch an original vintage amp. Three prongs are only needed by amateurs

"several" D-18s drew me in. Only two, and neither for sale?
Not currently. I love that she and her mom have matching D-18's.
Can’t keep all these she says! Wrong answer! I’d keep them all! LOL 😂

Her widower's?

Me too!
It's garbage. Horrible shape.
Vince gill would buy them
Who?
Smart lady, selling junk but keeping the good ones.
Sad situation. Great legacy of music. Please don’t 3-prong that amp!
Dumb not to.
Why don't you just buy it instead Jeremy???
Bad start that's not a 1914 Gibson L-3 she is holding!
I’m also stealing the money from her.
Interested in the D18. Message me please
