£72 for a budget B550 board, can't really argue with that, although I do wish we could get these used for around £50 now, it seems the market is reflecting the 7000 gen prices. I picked up it's older sibling, the B450M-K with a modern looking tempered glass case (Cyberpower branded), 3x UpHere aRGB fans and RF controller, and a 400W Coolermaster MWE power supply for £40 last week, pairing it with 16Gb DDR4 2400 (£30), Ryzen 1600X (£35), and GTX 1070 8Gb (£110). Just need a £30 SSD now, and that's a competent budget gaming system for £245 total cost (plus a little fuel), call it £255 with fuel and windows license factored in. I find used market pricing is very much in flux I find at the moment, generally prices have been going down until summer early Sept, but more lately stuff like RAM and Motherboards seem to be on the increase....stubbornly few decent B450 boards on the used market for £40-50, typically commanding £60-70 price tags at the moment in my area.

Disable uefi in bios when you have the 1080 in. Once done, install the 3060 and check if it works. If yes, yhen you have a vbios bug. Set the bios back to uefi and install Windows and drivers with the 1080 then put the 3060 in. It may boot directly to Windows screen bypassing the bios screen. That how I had to live with my msi motherboard and asus rx580 video card. I kept a gt710 in because using this card was the only way to access the bios. I put a 6800xt in and no more uefi bug. I came across this bug when setting the bios to uefi in order to install Windows 11. Using csm only did not cause this problem, but Windows 11 couldnt be installed as secure boot is not available when set to csm

I find used market pricing is very much in flux I find at the moment, generally prices have been going down until summer early Sept, but more lately stuff like RAM and Motherboards seem to be on the increase....stubbornly few decent B450 boards on the used market for £40-50, typically commanding £60-70 price tags at the moment in my area.
yeah it really is a crazy market, the run up to xmas will be interesting as peoples cash reserves run low, could be a good time for buyers?

ASUS PRIME B550M-K Watt Usage ?
no idea, the chipset should be around 10W, but it depends on how many devices are connected

It probably won’t but the onboard is unlikely able to reach that if it could. If you want high refresh you should really use see the gpu outputs

Better just to spend $50 US more and buy the Gigabyte B550M Pro P or ASRock B550M Steel Legend
I have the b550m steel legeng and I don't like the fact that the m.2 slot is lower than the first pcie slot and that bring the video card closer to the cpu cooler. Si, if you are using your video card to render or compute for a long period of time, you may see an increase of cpu temp if you having working at the same time. Problem I dont see with the msi b550m pro-vdh that I largely prefer to the steel legeng
$50 is a lot of money for some
Gigatrash or ASSRock?!? No thanks.
