I can see why you’d think that, but I would have to disagree. If we look from his prespective, a man who killed their father is now trying to adopt his beloved sister. It’s a reasonable rationale, but the way he executes it is mildly psychopathic.

So, I hope that this manga continues, but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be content with where it ended. I mean, the ending feels like the perfect bittersweet cliffhanger, not knowing what is gonna happen with anyone next, leaving it up to our own imagination. Not knowing how Kazuma's mom is gonna feel regarding Shiika or Sumire, what the whole deal with Shusuke is, or where Kazuma and Shiika are even gonna go or what they're gonna do next, but I so desperately want everything to go right that I'm practically foaming at the mouth to see what happens next. It's the perfect double-edged sword where I could see them just dropping it there to leave it to our imaginations, but am so desperate for everything to go right that I actually need the confirmation that everyone is okay. Such a good manga! Glad I read it!

I'm also wondering what the hell is going on in 9:20. who is this new girl Sumire really? is she really needed in this story at all and why? placeholder for now. for now pls convince me to continue because I really wonder if Sumire is really needed in the story.
