Rod Views godzilla x Kong The New Empire

A series of electronical anomalies, and the fear of getting shut down by the government, sparked Dr. Andrews's team to investigate an uncharted area down in Hollow Earth. There, they will discover a history of Kong's species and an evil ape known as Skar King.
godzilla x Kong The New Empire was a fun watch, where, when you look at it has a lot of conveniences that would have been better if it allowed actual stakes to come into play. Where, not only would it help our characters grow, but provide actual hurdles. Because, although there are hurdles, how they were jumped were disappointing. Though they have justifications within the story, it's justification was just as disappointing.
Inconveniences aside, the movie was still enjoyable; the fights were amusing and thrilling, Skar King as an antagonist was awesome and, perhaps not intentional, I laughed in various scenes.
Point is, even though a movie is a popcorn flick, I still believe that story matters. Jumping over these obstacles easily doesn't help in story-telling and should be avoided whenever possible. Because obstacles in movies are put there for a reason... and jumping over them easily is just a major let down.
