Hey Dan I can totally relate to all of this. adversity is a big one for me. solo travel is not always perfect, I've learnt alot on how to keep my head in the right place! I had the language issue in Taipei but there's always a way round it like you say. 8 months so far, I'm hoping I have the travel mindset when i get back to the UK.
