An interesting detail is Ichigo seems to be using some more of his Hollow powers in this ep - the red reiatsu vs Ywach, and he appears to use sonido to go over to Byakuya (It has the bass-y sound effect). Kinda neat, as he's directly going for the kill rather than normal. EDIT: He's also using Pesquias seemingly to sense the reiatsus fading throughout soul society

I'm fairly certain we got the Squad each of the OG captains was in charge of with that ending. Both Yamamoto and Unohana were in the 1st and 11th positions respectively. On top of that, the "creepy pirate" captain was in the 7th Division which could tie into Komamura's "grandfather" and that captain being the same characters. The girl with the glasses was also the 8th Division captain which lines up with both Nanao and Lisa being part of that squad. It might seem a little strange that the massive captain was the one in charge of Squad 12 and the creepy monochrome captain was the one in charge of Squad 4, but I bet at this point in the story there probably wasn't a medical or R&D focused division and they were all just focused on slaughter.
@@DarrieusJohn I don't see why that's really that weird. The assassin character was shown in the 2nd spot. We don't even know if he is a Shihoin, and even if he is there was almost certainly no noble families among a group of bloodthirsty killers, so it's not like there'd be precedent for him to be the captain of Squad 2. He certainly wasn't fighting like an assassin either from that shot we got of him.
I especially think it's cool that the possible Shiba ancestor is the fifth division captain, as they are probably my favorite division (Aizen, for obvious reasons, and Shinji is my second favorite character). Also, if the guy with the hat is the Kuchiki ancestor, then I'm surprised he is the captain of the tenth division instead of the 6th, as well as the possible Shihoin being the third instead of the second. Edit: I do think it might make sense if the second division captain is the Tsunayashiro ancestor, who are definitely sly and assassin-like (Tokinada being the main example).
10/10 episode. The animation, the I am him energy, and the look at the original gotei 13 was amazing. We only got to see a silhouette of them in the manga, so the end credits this episode hit even harder
My guess is that the thing with the time limit in shadows is not brought up because in the second invasion they don't "come" to Soul Society, but they "reveal" their whole dimension
A moment of silence for those that didn't get to see this animated guys, we are truly blessed as a community. Our voices have been heard and this is a masterpiece begining to unfold Infront of us. Millions and millions of thanks to the staff working on this and many thanks to the community for being what we are today! This is just the begining to the right path for our beloved series, justice is being done.
The remixed version of nothing can be explained is everything I was waiting for! I'm in tears of happiness to hear it at this crucial point in the arc 11/10!!!!
Ywatch's voice actors performance is incredible so far and honestly I think that voice deeply suits a character like him. Ichigo entering souls society and witnessing the chaos that it is in was so sad,the situation was so dire and bad that even when he came it didn't feel that they are saved..Then ywatch took the W in their first fight..
I feel I say this every week, but this episode was better than the last IMO, the Yamamoto episode was absolutely stellar and 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, but I feel this episode was completely perfect imo. Ichigo’s reaction to everything is impactful and it was incredible the way the anime pulled it all off and tugged on emotions. That Ichigo and Yhwach fight was also very appreciated and was spectacular 🤩 in the manga we only got a sword clash
I found it a bit weird that in a fit of rage he wouldn't use the hollow mask. But we haven't seen it since Dongai so maybe its actually dormant right now.
I dont really know how to express how happy and delighted I am with these new and last season of Bleach. Everything from the quality , the soundtrack, the voice acting, the animation, the extended scenes, everything is so god damn good! I seriously hope it gets massive viewership and the big shots see the profit potential in Bleach from all of us, teenagers that grew with Bleach and fanfictioned and obsessed over it, and approve more, like a Turn Back the Pendulum but 1000 years ago, an eventual adaptation of a hypothetical Hell Arc and who knows man. Whatever 10/10 I dont know how they made it look so good.
This episode was absolute perfection. Idk how but they managed to hit all the notes. That flashback with the Original Gotei 13 was pure gold. They all looked sick asl, OH MY GOD. The scene between Byakuya and Ichigo almost broke me. Seeing Byakuya bloodied and defeated was hard to watch but it was beautifully done. RIP to the legend, Genryusai Yamamoto. What a day to be a Bleach fan, can't wait for next week.
They went above and beyond with this one. They turned what was a single panel into an entire intro scene that was amazing, and got every moment perfect imo. Perfect Cliff hanger, perfect moment with ichigo and byakuya, everything was awesome. This episode sent shivers and emotions through me that i haven’t felt since my first viewing of Bleach.
Ichigo was sensing everyone’s reiatsu disappearing. He for sure sensed Yamamoto die - but it would’ve been nice if the anime gave Ichigo a line or some form of acknowledgment out of respect for Yamaji but oh well. This was the best episode so far, slightly edging out last week’s for me. Though both are incredible episodes, for different reasons. Edit: Also that new Shunpo sound effect when Ichigo went to Byakuya.. holy shit. I didn’t think you could improve the original sound fx but they did.
@@cution97 What body? Lol Yhwach eviscerated his body completely. To be fair, Yamamoto’s death did coincide with Ichigo getting that final push to break thru, and arriving in SS - but it’s portrayed as coincidental timing and not attributed to Yamamoto’s death, per-se.
@@DFTNSHEXGRM That’s not what I’m saying I’m talking about the moment when Ichigo was noticing the spiritual pressure disappearing he obviously knows which one was Yamamotos so it would’ve been interesting to have his pic included during that scene where they were showing all random soul repears bodies on the floor and the reiatsu disappearing and Yama’s disappearing is a big deal since he’s aware he’s the head captain
Something interesting is that I think the order of the og captains might be shown in the ending because Yamamoto is shown first and Unohana is shown eleventh. Also interesting is that the captain we thought was a shihouin is actually the capt of squad 3 and the hairy pirate one is the capt of squad 7, which might support the theory of him being part of the wolf clan
Love the red bursting out of Ichigo when he first goes for Ywach, makes it feel like his rage is causing the hollow portion of his powers to take precedence.
They just don't stop, do they? Every release thus far has been nothing short of a fucking masterpiece. I had huge expectations and they have delivered with every single chapter.
I was just about to make this comment. Also, Pirate Soul reaper specifically is one i noticed who happened to be captain of Squad 7, just like Sajin. Coupled with that, and the fur, I’m leaning more and more towards thinking that he not only is a member of the clan, but also thinking that he may just be the grandfather for sure. After all, him not being able to fight anymore more or less makes him unfit to be a soul reaper, and we never got confirmation that ALL of the original 13 were dead per say, just that they no longer held the position. Also squad 8’s captain wears glasses and uses a polearm as well, kinda like Lisa. That’s not any speculation that they may be distantly related, but it does keep in the theme anyway.
@@JohnGlow2 on the topic of the pirate guy, I kinda noticed that his mustache kind of looks like the one that the grandfather has, although that's probably just me being blind
Utterly fantastic. I literally clicked on your video immediately after I finished watching it so I could prolong the hype. That clash between Ichigo and Yhwach...man, this has been banger after banger AFTER BANGER.
The only way i can describe this has been that the anime is a love letter from Kubo to us. Hes getting the rare second chance to redo his send off for his magnum opus and its clear hes taking every liberty alongside this fantastic animation team to deliver peak moment after peak moment
I actually think this is one of the best every episodes in anime. It was insane! Never felt so many emotions in one episode. This anime is nothing but extraordinary
I bet many others noticed this too but seems the captains of the OG 13 at the end show up in order of their divisions, which would also tells us more about each one
Yeah he didn't exactly save soul society when showed up late. but I think him actually showing was better than not because if he didn't Ywach would've caused more damage before he did a force retreat, thanks to Aizen. Ichigo stalled just so Ywach's time staying in the soul society runs out. Both him and Aizen brought enough time for soul society to survive and prepare for the second invasion.
Okay, it was really fucking cool seeing the first gotei 13 in the beginning and in the ending. Also love the fact, that even when Aizen was still in his prison he kinda ''helped'' by saving Ichigo from certain death as well as did his part in protecting the Soul Society. (Also, Ichigo's burning rage when he got out of the prison was pretty damn badass But that would be it from the epic side of the episode. The other part was just.. depressing :(. Yamma death and recollection, Ichigo's desperation when trying to get out the jail, Byakuya's last words... Dude, you could feel the strong emotions when Byakuya spoke, his crying voice, as he was begging Ichigo to save Soul Society. Man. That episode was fucking sad. It really tore apart emotions.
I wish there was a version of MrTommo for every anime. No one does such well thought out and well presented, in depth lore for other anime's the way Mr Tommo does for Bleach.
I love that Sasakibe is getting the love that he deserves throughout the TYBW anime. The additional flashbacks as well as his appearance in the Episode 7 special ending. It shows that Kubo loves this character.
I cant describe the emotions Im feeling watching those episodes, Im almost tearing from excitement maaan.. The music is a MASTERPIECE!!! Every week is a god damn blessing!
All the credit to the animators and VAs for this episode. They knocked this into the stratosphere, especially coming off old man Yama last episode, I thought they might not be able to hit these beats as well as they did, but Byakuyas VA nailed it, as did Ichigos.
Studio Pierrot has handled capturing the emotion of Ichigo to an extraordinary level of excellence. You could really feel his pain, despair, and anger in each sequence. This level of direction reminded me of when Naruto made his grand entrance in the Pain arc, and they handled his rage perfectly throughout. This is the BEST EPISODE of Bleach, thus far. 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I mean this goes out to us readers, people that have given bleach the credit it deserves as one of the all time greatest shonens. Scans have remained among the top 10 most read for over 5 years after the original series ended. This episode and the previous are what we were waiting for, graphic masterpieces (Kubo style is so well represented and just reminds you of how great his protagonists look), the atmosphere is captured to perfection, the greyish tone, the rain, the sadness the rage, the despair… it’s all there and the addition of the original gotei is just the cherry on the cake. Thank you to all bleach fans that kept faith and kept supporting this release. People often undermine how truly ground breaking bleach was. If not for kubo, demon slayer, wouldn’t exist and we could argue that a lot of other shonen have recycled the captain format in their power systems. The character development is also a big part of bleach and is so underrated, ichigo is a great protagonist with great character development. His relationship to his friends, family, the soul society, the espada (ulquiorra and Grimjow), his zanpakuto truly make him an always evolving character and it all culminates in this arc, that if not for shonen jump being the d***s they are would’ve probably been the best of the entire series. Kubo was just short on time and I love that they are adding elements in the adaptation. Needless to say I love bleach 😂 Long live this manga, long live the fans and hopefully they can keep blessing us with this beauty of an adaptation 🙏🏽🔥🔥🔥
This episode was supposed to be abt yama’s background but the ep was so packed and amazing I forgot for a second my fave character yamaji had actually passed away.
10:15 it’s not weird at all that his clothes are fixed because as we learn ichigos wears his power in the form of his current bankai by him amping his spiritual pressure he restored his clothes
THIS is how you do it. The moment I saw the first court guard squad I knew this was going to be a special episode. I LOVE every second of everything. I rearley get hyped to enough to scream watching ANYTHING, but I did it multiple times in this episode. I'm not remotely upset they didn't do the next chapter in the same episode given what we got in its stead. The fight scene of Ichgo vs Yawatch, was amazing and I loved the effects of the rain evaporating on his body. Ichigo and Byakuya's moment was phenomenal. EVERYTHING!!! I loved it so much I watched it twice immediately, then came here.
best part for me that was pointed out by someone else is the fact that the ending credits show the captains in order of what squads they are its such s good little detail
It's pretty amazing to see Robert Accutrone finesse Shunsui and review the entire First Invasion during the process. Truly one of the Quincies of all time.
These past 2 episodes have made the wait for this arc worth it. I just cant believe how good they were. The MVP is hands down the music, it just elevates everything. Bleach has always had god tier music, but to get that music along side this animation, the direction, the cinematography.. the pacing. Everything just comes together for anime greatness. Seeing the original Captains was unbelievable and i am glad i didnt see the captain reveal before this episode too.
Each Monday as I watch the episode, I still find it hard to believe it is real!! It looks amazing, all the additional scenes and everything all at once is just the absolute purest satisfaction and happiness for a Bleach fan. I am not ready for what is yet to come.
Man im so glad they brought this back, been waiting forever. the animation is off the charts and im getting all the feels! Heart was going like mad when ichigo finally broke free.
absolutely loved when the new version of nothing can be explained played, it might be my favorite soundtrack from the original bleach ost and I didnt expect to hear it here. Hope its played again with the blade is me episode
Byakuya plead made me tear up, that was perfect.. such a strong character asking to defend his place and people in what he believe to be his last moments.. and that ending, just leaving us the viewers with so many questions! love it! Rip Yamamoto, let your flame still be in the heart of those you taught. o7
OMFG what an episode. The Byakuya scene, the emotions, the rain being dissolved by Ichigo's reiatsu and his rage mode with the red eyes. Absolute perfection. The music... I dont know how they manage to do it but it keeps getting better and better. This is way beyond what I expected. A true masterpiece !!!
The original Gotei and the extended fight between Ichigo and Ywach were so so so good like they nailed it go on point. This is such a good climax to the opening segment of the series. 4-7 have been stellar. So excited to see Shunsui next week and more about the potential intro of Squad Zero.
Best episode so far! They just keep giving us pure greatness! I have a feeling this will be my favorite episode for the entirety of the first season. Just everything about this episode was just so emotional and executed in just the perfect way. Giving us a little bit of the original Gotei 13 battle, Yamamoto's final scene, the Byakuya scene, the music as always, the fighting and rage of Ichigo, and of course the big reveal. So much more to look forward to and I cannot wait for all the things to come.
Just watched this episode myself and I instantly got on here to see if your upload yet. There were scenes where I wanted to see your reaction to. Especially the first couple of minutes
I can’t believe how great they’ve done so far with this. Even if the next bit coming up isn’t absolutely amazing these first few episodes clearly make up for it.
Every part of this episode was brilliant. I was holding back tears although I knew what would happen. Seeing the OG gote 13, Ichigo vs yhwach extra scenes. Byakuya speech, old man yama getting rekt(RIP).
I'm really shocked with how well this is going, and in some ways it's been getting better. I was really worried about random quality drops but so far it's been great.
Liked seeing the original court guard squads in action, and was cooling having the art of the current captains in the end mirroring the colour art of the original captains kubo drew
I went from a depressing week of middle school back when bleach was coming out during the arracar arc to waiting after a depressing week of work, bleach is still amazing!
I think that ending confirmed their divisions since Yama is first shown and Unohana is 11th. The glasses girl would also make sense in the 8th division because of Nanao and Lisa. You also may have been dead on about the pelt wearing pirate guy since he is shown 7th.
I have to say, this episode truly left me; speechless, teary-eyed and giddy. My three top moments are seeing the OG Gotei 13: that little hint at exactly who those murderous thugs were and for them to show us just how ruthless they were in battle was just... perfection. The moment Ichigo is freed from The Jail - that first person POV as he blast through Shaz Domino, rescues Akon and scans the battlefield for his friends... and then for him to find Byakuya. His Spiritual Pressure rising so much from that rage, that the rain simply evaporates on contact, was just... I felt the emotions it conveyed as if I was there. It was beautifully done. And last; seeing Ichigo facing Yhwach. The varying colors of his reiatsu giving hints of Ichigo's true lineage(s), was just. And that clash - it's the one thing I wish had been in the manga and boy was I glad to see this animated. Truly, this episode and episode 6, did NOT disappoint. Also: the new images used for the ending; amazing. Giving us more of that OG Gotei 13... but also, the last candle and its flame being extinguished - indicating the passing of Old Man Yama. Truly... as I said, speechless and teary-eyed, yet giddy with conflicting emotions. Again... this 10 year wait, was WORTH IT!
This was the only reaction I was looking forward to. This was an emotional masterpiece and oh my god that introduction of the original captains of the gotei 13. That was soooo good
Byakuya's voice acting man, so stoic until the last couple of lines, its freaking heartbreaking how his voice cracks like hes boutta cry, i cant man it hurts

We only got to see a silhouette of them in the manga, so the end credits this episode hit even harder
the first person shots and the ending had me freaking screaming from the top of my lungs. And that opening scene with the previous gotei? Chef's kiss!
I liked this more then ep 6 but maybe its cus I spoiled myself right before I watched it
@@agentnukaz1715 havent you read the manga?
My guess is that the thing with the time limit in shadows is not brought up because in the second invasion they don't "come" to Soul Society, but they "reveal" their whole dimension
That's what i thought too. No time limit since we are basically there for the rest of the fighting
I loved it. I totally bought Ichigo as a rabid dog, just attacking out of frustration.
Great moment
I literally couldn't have imagined this episode would be better than the last but they freaking did it!
I found it a bit weird that in a fit of rage he wouldn't use the hollow mask. But we haven't seen it since Dongai so maybe its actually dormant right now.
@@ZardVark1337 his hollow powers is combined with his fullbring that’s why he’s not using the mask. He’s just using the power now.
Or they should’ve showed a glimpse of his body dying and Ichigo shocked in despair but nonetheless it was amazingly executed
@@cution97 Probably when things settle down.
I wonder if ichigo used sonido cause. Sonido is more like teleportation than shunpo
i love that it is uncut. i had extreme goosebumps this episode. Byakuyas cry, begging for rescue against his pride broke me. I love it
Something interesting is that I think the order of the og captains might be shown in the ending because Yamamoto is shown first and Unohana is shown eleventh. Also interesting is that the captain we thought was a shihouin is actually the capt of squad 3 and the hairy pirate one is the capt of squad 7, which might support the theory of him being part of the wolf clan
The order might be legit, indeed
Love the red bursting out of Ichigo when he first goes for Ywach, makes it feel like his rage is causing the hollow portion of his powers to take precedence.
They just don't stop, do they? Every release thus far has been nothing short of a fucking masterpiece. I had huge expectations and they have delivered with every single chapter.
I love how Ichigos sword was already looking worn and kind of raggedy before Hash broke it
Fun fact:
The order that the captains are shown in the ending song are their squad order if you haven't noticed already
Sasakibe was a GOAT.
Makes the scene where he gets one shot by Ichigo even more head scratching.
I like the detail of his reiatsu disappearing bc he used Sonido to move discreetly since it can't be tracked like Shunpo can
I bet many others noticed this too but seems the captains of the OG 13 at the end show up in order of their divisions, which would also tells us more about each one
I didnt think they could surpass ep. 6. but this was truly incredible
You can tell there's so much love in creating this series from the studio to give Bleach it's due. *chef's kiss*
Congratulations to Studio Pierrot, they are doing an amazing job with the animation of Bleach. Bankai!
Seeing Byakuya in tears for the first time ever was the definition of sobering .
I went nuts with that intro. Seeing the Original Gotei and Chojiro in the fight. God it was peak!
The Nothing can be described remix really caught me of guard, i LOVED this episode SO MUCH
Yeah he didn't exactly save soul society when showed up late. but I think him actually showing was better than not because if he didn't Ywach would've caused more damage before he did a force retreat, thanks to Aizen. Ichigo stalled just so Ywach's time staying in the soul society runs out. Both him and Aizen brought enough time for soul society to survive and prepare for the second invasion.
Okay, it was really fucking cool seeing the first gotei 13 in the beginning and in the ending.
Also love the fact, that even when Aizen was still in his prison he kinda ''helped'' by saving Ichigo from certain death
as well as did his part in protecting the Soul Society. (Also, Ichigo's burning rage when he got out of the prison was pretty damn badass
But that would be it from the epic side of the episode.
The other part was just.. depressing :(. Yamma death and recollection, Ichigo's desperation when trying to get out the jail, Byakuya's
last words... Dude, you could feel the strong emotions when Byakuya spoke, his crying voice, as he was begging Ichigo to save Soul Society.
Man. That episode was fucking sad. It really tore apart emotions.
This is the seventh time I have declared, "This is my favorite episode so far," after finishing a new episode of TYBW.
I wish there was a version of MrTommo for every anime. No one does such well thought out and well presented, in depth lore for other anime's the way Mr Tommo does for Bleach.
and it's finally here! my fav ost! Nothing can be explained remix!
Hearing nothing can be explained agains really made the scene hit... really loving every episode so far makes me excited if we get a hell arc
Needless to say I love bleach 😂
Long live this manga, long live the fans and hopefully they can keep blessing us with this beauty of an adaptation 🙏🏽🔥🔥🔥
It's an animation oversight. They're still tattered after that scene.
I'm grateful they took their time making this; Bleach would've never had this level of quality back in the day.
best part for me that was pointed out by someone else is the fact that the ending credits show the captains in order of what squads they are its such s good little detail
It's pretty amazing to see Robert Accutrone finesse Shunsui and review the entire First Invasion during the process. Truly one of the Quincies of all time.
oh man, my heart is pumping watching this current episode. it get's better
When I saw the all new content at the start...I knew you would be mega excite for it.
I knew you were gonna love the opening scene. Happy to see your reaction. What an amazing episode. My favorite of the whole series potentially.
Each Monday as I watch the episode, I still find it hard to believe it is real!! It looks amazing, all the additional scenes and everything all at once is just the absolute purest satisfaction and happiness for a Bleach fan. I am not ready for what is yet to come.
Your expressions are Timeless my friend. It's like I can feel your excitement from here.
That beginning sequence of the original Gotei 13 was AMAZING. That blew my goddamn mind.
Listening to Arbiter's theme from Killer Instinct while re-watching the scene when Ichigo arrives
Holy shit... This episode wrecked me into a bawling mess. Was legit crying for half of the episode. That was painful to watch...
The original Gotei and the extended fight between Ichigo and Ywach were so so so good like they nailed it go on point. This is such a good climax to the opening segment of the series. 4-7 have been stellar. So excited to see Shunsui next week and more about the potential intro of Squad Zero.
They're nailing it with these.
I'm glad they're giving Sasakibe some props with the flashback and the extermination sequence was brutal
They nailed the emotions of the chapters it adapted. And I'm so happy with the extra content, especially that flashback.
I just watched the episode and went to YT for your video. You posted it 4 seconds before i checked. Thank you!!!
Each episode gets better and better I love it.
TYBW is being adapted perfectly
I went from a depressing week of middle school back when bleach was coming out during the arracar arc to waiting after a depressing week of work, bleach is still amazing!
Towards the end of the fight you can hear a clock softly ticking in the background that gets louder as the Quincy's time runs out
It's like the bar keeps getting raised every episode. My emotions were all over the place by the end.
I think that ending confirmed their divisions since Yama is first shown and Unohana is 11th. The glasses girl would also make sense in the 8th division because of Nanao and Lisa. You also may have been dead on about the pelt wearing pirate guy since he is shown 7th.
This was personally my favorite episode so far. The show is only getting better every episode can't wait for more. Byakuya and yama scenes man
This episode was amazing! The subtle inflection in Byakuya's voice too got me real good in the feels
I was jumping up and down with that intro!! and when Ichigo got super pissed off
The candle in the ending with yamamoto as the fire on it was such a good detail
0:26 yeah I'll admit it, they got me good with that Byakuya scene, the manliest of tears.
I enjoy mondays cause its a bleach episode day and I get to see MrTommo react to the episode
When I see that intro OMG!!
I started Screaming
I love this episode so much
I have to say, this episode truly left me; speechless, teary-eyed and giddy.
I can't wait until next weeks episode! This one had me yell at my TV. Emotions run high for some favorite characters....
This was the only reaction I was looking forward to. This was an emotional masterpiece and oh my god that introduction of the original captains of the gotei 13. That was soooo good
Flashback at the start was definitely my favorite.
Byakuya's voice acting man, so stoic until the last couple of lines, its freaking heartbreaking how his voice cracks like hes boutta cry, i cant man it hurts
One of the best parts about Bleach returning are the reaction videos here.
As someone who's read the TYBW arc I love seeing the enthusiasm and critics regarding the adaption.
Loved seeing the original Gotei 13 and you get the full depth of Ichigo's anger
