I was recommended to an awarding winning recording made years ago by Dennis Naseband boy soprano with the Tölzers and Jochen Kowalski Alto, which is superb, but having now heard this brilliant recording, to my ears these are the best two recordings. I can’t choose between them. Well done to the lads.
I have listened to so many other versions of this but always come back to this one. It is just superb, just the most exquisite, simply the best.. Christian's voice has a wonderful clarity and expression, he sings with such feeling despite his youth. I bought the CD and it has nearly worn out, I just can't stop listening to this sublime music. Thank you so much to all involved.

No they don't. Jarousski and Emöke Baráth conducted by Stutzmann is superb. Different voice colours obviously. Different emotion evoked. The work is fabulous and lends itself to different interpretations. These lad are magic too.
Aloïs Mühlbacher has achieved his changement of voice from soprano to counter-tenor, and it's well-done. He has been a great musician since a long time. Now, I think he should develop his chest register which is the basis to has a solid vocal construction and to obtain a more colored medium.

Selten so einen Sänger schon im Knabenalter erlebt! - Mittlerweile hat sein Äußeres sich sehr zum Positiven geändert UND ist noch immer sehr engagiert dabei. Gratulation, lieber Alois! Es gibt ein weiteres Gesangstalent unter den Florianern. Seinen Namen weiß ich nicht. Er singt zum Beispiel das berühmte Solo aus "Carmen" von Bizet. - Auch er ist seeeeeehr engagiert dabei! - Weiter so und bleibt beim Gesang! Es wäre zu schade!
Christian really should record a CD before his voice breaks. If my memory serves me correctly, Alois made at least 3 solo treble recordings ( I bought them and other Florianer discs). Hopefully this concert will be available to purchase on a CD.
