Great Video Tia. Different from anime and otaku life so refreshing. I am gonna put my input in cuz I know you love critique. 😉
Easy thing is just to make sure things work for your dog. Some dogs have allergies to products like deodorizers sprays and pet wipes so always be careful on what you use and watch your dogs reactions on first time products. I think these are more personal preference since me personally I would rather just bath my dog every 6-8 weeks to massage and oxygenate the skin and fur and really work the dirt and loose hair's out throughly.
If going to supply your pet with omega 3 or any sort of supplement/medication it is always best to check with you vet first. Not only will your vet be able to make sure your dog get the right dosage and recommendation for brand but if you are looking into joint maintenance as well the vet can recommend added superior supplements such as MSM which especially for older animals may be a better choice. Omega 3 is good for coats and helps with but people fall into a false sense of security thinking it is a bit of a miracle drug and you wouldn't want to waste your money if you don't need to supplement this for your pet.
Dog toys. Just note for viewers to always supervise your pet when playing with any toy. Also PLAY!!! with them. What's the fun of having a new toy if they can't enjoy it with their Hooman. I get sturdy rope toys, Kongs, and anything rated for heavy chewers. My dogs have always torn through plushies in minutes, so I found them a waste to buy (even though they love them like crazy) Also don't give all toys to your dog. Introduce a new one ever so often so they are not bored.
Clothes: I'll agree to disagree on this 😒. Short haired dogs like mine need a winter coat and Muttlucks to stay warm and a spring coat for when it rains, but I have never agreed on dressing up a dog. I do have a coworker that gets these cute PJ's for her Staffordshire...so maybe one day ill jump on the bandwagon...lol. Also one point make sure they are bright colors or have some sort of reflective striping on them. If you walk at night/when it gets dark you want to be seen by vehicles, especially if you and your dog are wearing dark colours.
Toothpaste if you are gonna brush your dogs teeth you want to be doing it once a day. just like with brushing your dog's coat, brushing their teeth is only effective to their health if it is done often. I have gone to clinics and grooming salons where owners have said they brush their dogs teeth once a month and the dog's mouth is covered in nasty plaque.
Dog treats: use treats that your dog will pay attention to you for. Some dogs are extremely food motivated so they will do anything, others don't care for the tiny kibble you give them. You may then want to try high grade treats like a piece of chicken/bacon or hot dog. Also, make your dog work for the treat. Have them sit or give a paw. You don't get paid if you don't do anything so your dog should understand that as well.
Dog training: Always do your research, opinions from past clients on a good puppy school (NOT PETSMART!!!). There are many who will do one on one classes and others that do groups. Find what works for you, your budget and your dog before signing up. Ask trainer if they offer an evaluation first to see what your dog may need to work on so that is your main focus and recommendations they can give. Also if you are looking into doing more specialized work such as scent detection, bite work, sports training, schutzhund or obedience trails always speak with your trainer and get their input. They may not recommend bite work/schutzhund for a dog that is too friendly or agility if your dog doesn't have the physique or stamina.
Overall, a very informative video Tia. I agree with Krista on some points and you also spoke about some great experiences and recommendations that will help someone decide what they need when getting their next puppy. Good one. Can't wait for the next one.
