Based on customer feedback the "Co-Pilot" bike basket received some nice upgrades for 2017. We will begin shipping these new models in July, 2017. 1. All wall panels (and the floor panel) were doubled in thickness for added strength. 2. Stabilizer bar inserts on the back (not bottom) to enhance stability.
Sorry, this basket design was replaced by the Pet-Pilot model. Both do have safety straps inside the basket that attach to your dogs harness to prevent them from jumping out.
How much space is between the handlebars? The basket body is soft-sided, but it may be a tight fit between the handlebars if they are curved down like the road bikes I am thinking of.

This looks like a good dog basket - how do you stop your dog jumping out? Are there restraining straps?
