The Warning did a note for note cover of Enter Sandman when they were 9, 12 and 14 years old that propelled them onto people’s radar, including Metallica, with over 22 million views. This arrangement shows how much they’ve learned and matured in seven years. I’ve already heard it dozens of times and it just keeps getting better!

They covered this song in 2014. This is a complete rebuild of the song. People more experienced than me in music say that they are swapping the intro and outro around. What I think is that they turned a straight-up metal song into a horror-story thing, with the creepy Goth witch praying in the woods, the woman/ghost/entity trapped in the walls, the 3 of them descending from the light into the darkness just when the lyrics say "exit light. Enter night." WOW!
Dany said they wanted to create a dark, scary version of the song when they learned it was written as a lullaby for one of Metallica's band member's child.
Despite not doing the reaction on a milk crate, great reaction ! The Warning and Alessia Cara knocked it outa the park. This is how to do a cover, OWN it then show respect for the original with that heavy Metallica riff.
Great reaction, guys. I and 1000 others were on an Instagram chat with Dany today, and she said that from the time they got the call from Metallica asking if they wanted to be part of Blacklist to finishing the composition, playing, and video was one week in total! That’s some serious dedication and craft. Oh, and I see that Ale has transformed her bass into a weapon. She wields that thing like a sword.
They did a note for note cover of Enter Sandman in 2014, when they were 14, 12 and 9 years old. It now has around 23 million views. They have been signed to Lava/Republic Records for over a year now. They have already recorded their 3rd album (first with Lava) and we have all been waiting for the release. Choke and Evolve have already been released, and in another month the first half of the album is to be released as a 6 song EP named Mayday! Most of us are assuming that the album will come out in full as soon as they can start touring next year!
Yeah I totally agree, they did cover original song when they were 14, 11 and 9. It was spot on. This version is theirs all the way.. and rocks completely also.
The warning, adapted this new version in Monterrey Mexico, including the collaboration with Allesia who lives in Canada so they worked remotely, (the virtual presence of Alessia is clearly seen in the video), the audio mix and the filming of the video clip all this "in a week".
There are five versions of this song on the Blacklist Album. Only Weezer followed the original arrangement and one other was like you said "making it their own, but not really". This one buried all of them. Two facts: they are signed with Lava Records. The song in Nevada was Survive. I love this band!!.
I get a very maternal vibe throughout the song. Like a mother consoling a child at bedtime with the dreaminess and the horrors that come to the mind during sleep.
@@THENOBODIESREACTS They did mention in a video talking about how they made the song, that the point of view they took, is that of a dark lullaby, so the vibe makes sense.

Metallica told them to create their own version of the song, and they took that to heart. Ending with a maximum heavy riff is becoming a Warning trademark. Awesome cover! 👍😎

Great reaction, guys. Son, cherish the awesome relationship you have with Father. It's fun to watch. Alesia is a Canadian singer/songwriter with multiple Grammy's and other awards under her belt.
This is what you get when you tell These ladies to take and do what you want with the song to make it theirs. Metallica told them to do whatever they wanted to with the song for the 30th Anniversary of the Black Album. I'd never heard of Alessia Cara either but hey they did a great job of teaming up for this. Craziest thing is The Warning did all their part in Monterey Mexico while Alessia did all her parts in Canada. They have yet to meet in person.
Alessia Cara is a canadian pop star and i believe she is signed by the same record label as the warning Lava records. Metallica ask them to re version the song not to make just a cover. So this is it a song in which both styles (pop Alessia an heavy rock The Warning) fit well. Cool reaction!
In Dany's own words, they were asked to do a version of the song and that's what they delivered, their very own version of Enter Sandman. But they rescued a very important element: they found out Metallica wanted Enter Sandman to be a lullaby when they wrote it, and that's exactly what The Warning did with their version of the song. It's a completely dark and gothic anthem worthy of being the theme song of a horror film. When I listen to it, I think of DPA being this beautiful but evil nanny whispering this lullaby with her little sweet voice to the ear of an innocent child while she holds the Sandman book in her hands.

Metallica asked the bands involved in this new album to take their songs and tturn them upside down, inside out and sideways, they didn't want direct covers. They wanted reimaginings and recreations.
Basically Metallica chose over 50 artists from different genres to cover and reimagine songs from their black album to be called the blacklist album with the proceeds going to the chosen charity of the performing artists. I think Metallica wanted the artists to put a new spin on them and not a note by note cover. Alessia Cara a successful Pop and R&B singer and 2018 Grammy award winner for best new artist from Canada 🇨🇦 was originally asked to cover Enter Sandman. I believe she shares a international/promotion management team with The Warning that thought it would be a good idea to collaborate with them for this project. So many Kudos to her for sharing the spotlight with my favorite band.

Si hubieran encargado a the warning una versión, sorprendería a cualquiera. Sería una versión de rock duro con innovaciones sorprendentes.

You two are so entertaining! Love how you do all this. It appears that they have autonomy when making some of their videos. They've all been produced in Mexico via the associates of The Warning. Videos are essentially promos so that would fall under the category of the record label - Lava. That might mean Lava is putting up the cash for making the videos. I don't know. Estimated guess.
The Warning are under contract with Lava records. This version of Enter Sandman is on the new Metallica album "The Metallica Blacklist", for which Metallica asked over 50 artists to submit cover versions. Alessia Cara is a multi-platinum artist who, especially in 2016, stormed the charts worldwide with her hit "Scars to Your Beautiful". What to have a blast... load the original. At about 3:48 of this song... start the original.... Because they inverted the the intro and outro of the original you can actually blend both versions to actually be a single 10 minute song in 10 parts. Though starting this song at about 4:55 of the original may work even better

@@THENOBODIESREACTS They both have the same international management. Chris Smith 21 Entertainment. He suggested They should collaborate and it obviously worked.
Don't forget that Alessia was invited by Metallica and not The Warning. But she has no idea about rock music and she didn't want to do a simple pop version. Of the very pop singers, she is one of those who can be listened to. The fact that she is not doing this big promotion herself is perhaps also because she will be releasing her own album in the next few weeks. She has her fan base with those her age and younger.
They are one of the few artists on the Blacklist who actually did their homeworks. Metallica had specifically requested what you are describing (flipping songs on their head). So many unfortunately just did a slightly different rendition of the originals. Kudos to The Warning and Alessia.
This is not bad, might even grow on me after giving it a few more views but after seeing Liliac do this cover, I don't see anyone impressing me much they even rivaled Metallica IMO. Regardless, amazing talent here and their voices are impressive!!!

PS. This version is absolutely a piece of art.
De acuerdo con ustedes, ellas seran grandes estrellas del rock
They are signed now
Si hubieran encargado a the warning una versión, sorprendería a cualquiera. Sería una versión de rock duro con innovaciones sorprendentes.
Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer. Cannot describe her genre but she has beautiful vocals as you know from this callaboration
All of these beautiful women were singing the song
The whole song is a build up. With Alissa starting The song and handin it to The Warning.
Last year they signed with Lava records (to explain: the same as Greta Van Fleet's one)...🤘🏻
Alicia Cara and The Warning are signed with Chris Smith at 21 Entertainment Group in Toronto, Canada. Alicia is a pop singer and this is her first venture into rock / hard rock. This is featured in Marvel's Midnight Suns video game | Announcement Trailer.

Thanks so Much for these great comments
You two are so entertaining! Love how you do all this. It appears that they have autonomy when making some of their videos. They've all been produced in Mexico via the associates of The Warning. Videos are essentially promos so that would fall under the category of the record label - Lava. That might mean Lava is putting up the cash for making the videos. I don't know. Estimated guess.
Thanks for the kind compliment and information
The Warning are under contract with Lava records. This version of Enter Sandman is on the new Metallica album "The Metallica Blacklist", for which Metallica asked over 50 artists to submit cover versions. Alessia Cara is a multi-platinum artist who, especially in 2016, stormed the charts worldwide with her hit "Scars to Your Beautiful". Check out the Enter Sandman cover of The Warning, they played it at ages 9, 12 and 14. Highly praised by Metallica and Rolling Stone Mag. Over 22 million views to date.

i love alessia cara so much thank you for reactinggggg please react to her album when its out, september 24🥺💞❤️ also the warning are amazingggg
HOLY CRAP! You mean you guys haven't seen and reacted to the VIRAL video that introduced The Warning to us all?! Metallica's Kirk Hammett shouted them out on Twitter, and I quote, "The drummer kicks maximum ass!" Dudes, this is the Baby Warning, and they did a great job! Absolute fire! This is why they were invited to be featured on the Black List! They've come full circle! ua-cam.com/video/1boUYB9LFJY/v-deo.html
Fkn Amazing!!!
Surrender??? 🤣. He was close. It’s called Survive. 🤘🏼😁
Yes!!! That’s it 👉
It's funny what you said " it's sexy " that's one of the things i thought after listening to it .I thought this is sexy rock , Lol.
This version was put on Metallica blacklist album after Metallica invited them to do their own version.
i love it because it's not COPY PASTE thing.
What to have a blast... load the original. At about 3:48 of this song... start the original....
Because they inverted the the intro and outro of the original you can actually blend both versions to actually be a single 10 minute song in 10 parts.
Though starting this song at about 4:55 of the original may work even better
IMHO opinions: I feel that there is very big respect of the original, but NOT any mimic. This is freaking good.
Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer.
Check out 'Here'.
Pants jeans! LOL! We forgive you. 😎
We have a surprise coming to you in the next two days 😉
@@THENOBODIESREACTS "Out-phuucckkkin'-standing"...lol...please Comrads, don't make an Airborne bass playing Vet cry! (actually I would've been better as a drummer...I'm not a front stage person...plus, I know every intricate move/crash, that Neil Peart does. Some songs it took me many many listenings to capture all his super-custom-craftmanship. Some listeners will never get it because they won't commit to multiple listenings like myself. I even know the fact that he lost his daughter in a terrible accident, and lost his wife a little while later to cancer, took 5 years off (poor guy), but came back to Rush...after 5 years they played their first show in Rio De Jenero in front of 65,000 fans...sometimes life has a way of giving you the time of your life after suffering extreme losses! 🎧🎧🎙🎙(THE NOBODIES REACT'S GEAR.)
You know it's not Metallica, because the drums sound like a ton of brick and you can actually hear the bass part. HEHE!
Hahahahahaha pretty accurate
I can see the erotic sound of Alessia, but it's also haunting, angelical and dreamy, all 4 of them, awesome 👍😀
Carats using a lot of pop vibes
She’s definitely pop. Went and looked her up
and they worked it up in a week.
The whole point of The Blacklist project was for the various artists to put their take on the song. Can you imagine how boring that album would be if all the artists just tried to copy the song the Metallica did?
angguak angguak geleng geleng sayuik sayuik ...
If this isn't on the new James Bond soundtrack.... Crazy good for Past and now Present mix. But I see a spy movie. If not, it should be... Maybe a Vampire movie lol...!.. Peace and Health to all! ✌️😷🤟
Dany the Metal head of the band.....I kinda like that
Watch the behind-the-scenes of Enter Sandman buy warning
I dont watch awards shows and dont listen to radio stations that play Alessia Cara so never heard her before. so had to listen to a few of her songs. I don;t care at all for "pop" music of any kind really so she gets a big NOPE from me but I will give credit , she did a good job here mixing with the girls. although its more like TW changed more to AC genre sort of but from Paus prayer to the end was all TW it will be interestinf IF the girls try do this live with ot all the production they have in this video, I suspect lots of click.backing track but still i bet would be great.
I agree because Alesia cara hasn’t even posted it on her page and she has millions. She did The Warning a favor I suspect
This is the Trailer for the Metallica Blacklist Album

Does this even qualify as a "cover"? They flipped it upside down, turned it inside out and totally made it theirs.
They are one of the few artists on the Blacklist who actually did their homeworks. Metallica had specifically requested what you are describing (flipping songs on their head). So many unfortunately just did a slightly different rendition of the originals. Kudos to The Warning and Alessia.
survive?
Yes 🙌
This is not bad, might even grow on me after giving it a few more views but after seeing Liliac do this cover, I don't see anyone impressing me much they even rivaled Metallica IMO. Regardless, amazing talent here and their voices are impressive!!!
Liliac? Are you serious? Don’t get me wrong, I like them a lot, but hey - The Warning is on another level.
only original thing about their cover is a keyboard you cant hear and Melodys voice otherwise its almost fully note for note. lol
@@nukchuu1 and it's fantastic
@@gatorunleashed275 doesnt come close to rivaling Metallica with a note for note "cover" but they do have talent sure that much I'll admit but thats all lol
@@Malibonus I disagree.
You said they're totally changing and making it their own because you know they don't want to try playing it the way Metallica does it cuz you know it's Metallica but you're absolutely wrong they did almost an identical version of it just a few notes difference on the solo part but they ripped it when they were children, children, maybe you should check that out look for that version from the warning basement. Ali was only 8 or 9 years old when they did it and they covered it splendidly.
I'm a nobody
