I love your channel man. Thank you for showing us Chacahua! My friend was telling me I need to go. It looks like I do need to. Subbing for life and going through your other videos!
Went there in the ‘80’s and couldn’t find the place to catch the boat, so we ended up and drove there. I don’t remember restaurants or bungalows being available to rent, or much of anything on the beach. Surf was kind of mushy and I was the only one out. Beautiful spot . I
Yeah that's always a risk, but if that happens there will be other new hidden gems. If we only talk about existing hotspots there will be overtourism everywhere... we've got to spread out!
I live next to chacuah, those are all built to be tourist spots, they want patrons. The entire economy in Oaxaca depends on tourism. But they have been calling puerto the hidden gem. It's because Escondido means hidden
Those are the richest places around actually, that's better than 90 percent of the population lives. None o of us locals can afford to go there, it's because they get overflow tourism from Puerto. If you find a local we can show you mangroves that you can't find on a hundred dollar tour with a motor boat
Hurricanes on the Pacific coast of Mexico are a phenomena of the climate apocalypse. I was there in the hot season of April. Next trip will be November through January. It is spectacular and rustic, especially the mangrove forest. The beach is huge. The local community is Afro-Mestizo. A ways off the grid and worth it, big time.
PS: Find Pablo in the village who will do guided tour from sunset into the night in a small boat. DO NOT JUMP INTO THE WATER in the mangrove forest. Thousands of crocodiles.
Oops, I definitely mispronounced the name 😂Sorry!
this is great content. What camera do you use?
This was shot on gopro 10 + panasonic lumix gx8. Now using lumix g9 ii
Beautiful, nice work. love hidden gems and getting away from crowds. I hope to vlog like you one day!

Adding Chacahua to my list for when I visit Oaxaca one day! ✍

Haha, glad you enjoyed this, and thanks for the hard sub!
Decent waves, empty lines, hard to get to, nature! Bro you find paradise! Are the Crocs in the ocean?
Love your content. Keep going!
No crocs in the ocean or near the town. Paradise indeed!
My friend was just there before visiting us here in Zipolite(where I live). Chacahua is a local fave spot!

It's "Cha Kah Wah!"
Haha I keep being corrected on my pronunciations, thanks! I should not take my cue from other gringos 😂
Went to surf there from Puerto in 89’ when there was nothing. NOTHING…
