I am surprised you didn't try The Marginal Way or Perkins Cove. The Marginal Way is a walking trail and it is right along the ocean and it is absolutely beautiful!! They have bench's along the way where you can sit and enjoy all the beautiful scenery. If you do go again, it's a must see.

Ogunquit is nice. Maine is nice. That's the only other New England state that I might consider leaving NH for . Have you been to Old Orchard yet?

If you guys are still in New Hampshire in October you should go though the small town of Chester they do scary crows. Normally the General Store in the center has maps of where all the scary crows are.

I lived in that town for 12 years. It is right next to Derry NH. I was on their Facebook page and it looks like they already have some out.
