@@ShadowmercypXXV most gaming companies are earning humongous profits year after year. Piracy made their products popular and now they are eating the fruits. Netflix and Prime is majorly popular in India because of pirated content only which made people appreciate a different art form, and then when people liked the content, they chose to buy their subscription. Gangs of Wasseypur is so famous coz of intense piracy here, otherwise not many would have even knew that it existed. I don't think even once when I'm pirating any product from top companies, those companies are already earning billions.

When I was a youngster, I engaged in a lot of piracy, but after being involved in our community and starting to make money, I started purchasing games.

If the game companies try and reduce the prices of their games in a way which keeps in mind the purchasing power of the Indian rupees compared to the us dollar, I think then this problem of piracy will be significantly decreased.

Nowadays with increased no. Of scams i really prefer purchasing a good and cost efficient game or playing a free game from epic store rather than pirating. I was an experienced pirate before but when some of the games which has file size more than 100Gb. It is really a pain when the pirate copy didn't work

All of the reasons are correct what you mentioned in this video. Moreover since I no longer live in India and staying in Germany for the past 4 years. Here the laws for piracy are much stricter in comparison to India. For example, if you ever try to torrent here your IP address is tracked and you’ll have to pay a fine of around 1000-3000€ equivalent to 2.5 lakhs INR depending on the file size you downloaded illegally.
The problem here in India is that laws are made already. However people have already figured out the loophole for it. Moreover I have stopped piracy completely be it buying films or buying games.
Another barrier is that games are highly priced in India. But people should wait for sales and discounts. For example, on launch fifa games cost around 5000 but on Black Friday it costs around 2000 only.
Moreover game companies never include south Asian countries in their profit margins. Because they know there is a huge piracy in this regions. That’s the reason why some developers like EA stopped making Indian centric games i.e. cricket games. After cricket 07 no more cricket games are developed by EA. Because they faced a lot of losses and had poor sales since there intended target market was Indian subcontinent.
Imagine :
1) You are from a middle class family and you spent all pocket nd Stipend Money on buying RDR 2, GTA 5, Battlefield, Witcher etc all together 50000/- and you are using GTX card.
2) Your friend is also from middle class family and he Purchased a GPU for 50000 with his pocket and stipend money, and that is RTX card 🥰, he is pirating all the games.
Who would be more happy? 🤷🏾

Basically AAA companies don't consider to modify the pricing for all the countries to make them comfortable to buy games.
I'm done with pirating games due to corrupted files or missing files . I will download the game having huge size and after downloading I will have to face many problems like half missions or files or something else.

You are right bro I personally pay for cloud gaming apps just a dollar or 2 and enjoy wide library of games with newly released titles also ,not only stadia there are more companies and also support Indian region, I m not doing promotion but I make videos on that cloud gaming apps and share my experience to UA-cam audience.
You won't believe,I played And completed RdR2,Gow4,GtaV, Ac Odyssey and more games and only spended 5 dollars for that.also recently released uncharted 4.

Unless I start earning like ₹100k and above I will never buy a game. They cost like ₹3k for newest released titles, and just buying 3-5 games would cost you 10-15k a month, remember that this figure is literally the entire income of many people. Unless they make regional pricing or our entire GDP increases 2-3x piracy will never decrease

Instead of decreasing the prices. Games are locking away majority of the features behind multiplayer modes, so even if you pirate, you can't play the full game.
I pirated all of my games up until 2018, since I didn't have a job back then. Now my steam library has over 300+ games, majority of them I don't even plan on installing, I purchased all the games had played in the past by pirating.
I have been addicted to Street Fighter 4 for over 15 years now. This was the very first game I purchased, first time it cost me Rs800 which I had been collecting for months just to buy it.
After I got employed, I brought litreally every single DLC available just to suppor the developers.

500 can be worth it for an IMAX film. I won't pay more than 250 for a 2D film.
Call of duty is more than hundred dollars here in Canada That’s also not cheap. And even here in West, no parents buys expensive games like this for their kids, and teenagers usually go outside and get a job(For example in restaurants like McDonald’s and Starbucks), and earn money not like in India where they wait for college degrees to be done and then go out and find jobs.
the major problem is only two things that you mentioned at the beginning and the end of the video, which is the pay gap and the government law and order.
1) There are specific laws in India against child labour. You can't get a job easily understand 18.
2) Try working a job while managing CBSE boards, and preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET. After rigorous backbreaking study sessions (which I'm sure Canadians had never experienced), try doing a "part time job". The last thing that I want after a tiring day of studying is a job. I wanna relax and play games. Unfortunately, my parents would degrade me if I ever ask them to buy games, so piracy seems to be the only viable option.

Service and price is always an issue for us. At this point the only reason I barely pirate games is because steam has regional pricing, even if some shitty japanese developers ignore regional pricing, the situation is still pretty good overall for the digital distribution. (though this comment will age like milk once all developers start following "steam's recommended price" even if it is unfair)

If i want to download pirated games i always use some fairly reputed sites like oceanofgames, apunkagames etc
And my pc is not connected to Internet 😂
I mostly install my games in other drive than c drive and in a separate folder.
I use windows defender by default 😅
But i exclude the game folder from windows defender so that it won't uninstall my pirated game files.
And if virus tries to spread then defender will detect it and delete it.
I also have windows installed in virtualbox for some more dangerous stuff.
Now i feel somewhat safe 😊

these foreign companies have already looted enough from india so i think nothing wrong with piracy, they don't allow indian developers on pc we have great example of real cricket 22 which is a well polished game on android but sony and microsoft won't let us have it on their console or windows, even wynk was removed from microsoft store for unknown reasons.

I bought original Prince of Persia Warrior Within back in 2006 after saving for months. It was expensive, but I loved the game when I pirated it and I genuinely believed the studio not only deserved it, but it'd help them continue to make amazing games. Oh how naive I was.
Now the company is so bad, they can't even authenticate original game keys properly, deteriorate genuine owner experience with harmware like Denuvo, and make substandard games that are mostly soulless cash grabs.
Nope. Not only have I lost interest in playing new games, I never support AAA studios day 1 now either. I only buy originals on Steam/GOG/Itch when they fall below 500 bucks on a sale. Even if I have to wait years for it. The current gaming market is outright travesty and completely disconnected with genuine gamers, catering only to a the rich or addicts to milk their pockets.
