Magna Charce's ability to throw enemies out of the arenas and into kill planes - thus trivalising every combat encounter that has no guard rails - was pretty funny to me. I can understand why he was nerfed after Swap Force, but I ended stop using him, because of that change.
Yeah. I guess because new games were released, the producers wanted players to focus on the new skylanders of the games after Swap Force. So they didn't bother making Magna charge as strong as he is in Swap Force for the next games.

To address the new species complaint: they make sense from a lore perspective, as do you realistically think that Mabus are literally everywhere in Skylands? There's bound to be plenty of areas where they don't exist in. As for the Greebles, they're clearly a native species of the Cloudbreak Islands, while stuff like Trolls and Cyclopses aren't. Plus, it makes sense Kaos would need to restock on minions after SSA and Giants due to how much the Skylanders tore his militia apart. I mean, the only reason in game that Kaos got Trolls and Cyclopses back is due to his mom's supply of em.
I think the Greebles were meant to replace the Drow as Greebles mostly appeared early in game and in SSA as well as Giants and later on in Superchargers, Drow appear early in game.
@@serbianskylands8776 It is interesting how Vicarious Visions were the ones to replace Drow, however when Toys For Bob for some reason didn’t bring them back for Trap Team it was Vicarious Visions who brought them back for Superchargers instead of using Greebles, in Imaginators they reuse a lot of Superchargers enemies including Witch Pitchers which are Drow from Superchargers. I think overall Imaginators had the laziest enemies and didn’t even try to make new iconic enemies, only wanting cheap replacements for classics such as Trolls, Cyclopses, Arkeyans, and Chompies with enemies like Bugs, Plants, Rats, and Sheep, the only new ones I liked were the Rats because they were in my opinion the least annoying and most creative. I still like Greebles because they are a unique and rare enemy in the franchise that are still somewhat iconic in their own way.
Swap Force feels graphically like it should’ve released after Trap Team, not the other way around. The UI feels like it was supposed to be swapped during development.
Also a little note, the blast zone ring of fire increases the damage of most skylanders projectile.... Plus twelve damage per projectile.... You know what could do drobot with this wall of fire? Drobot shoots 3 projectiles at once, getting a 36 damage boost per shot, also you can do a trick with drobot... You can shoot lasers AS FAST AS YOU CAN by just smashing the attack button while in hover mode... Holding triangle while spamming square allows you to destroy things even faster... Fast enough to complete the 3 stars objective for the glumshanks boss fight in nightmare mode

Very late but there's a UFO Magic Item you need for the UFO hat. It is incredibly dumb and I believe it only serves the purpose of the hat. EDIT immediately went to where you found it afterwards. thats what i get for commenting mid video lol
as far as i understand skylanders lore, the greebles are supposed to be the native inhabitants of the cloudbreak islands - the trolls and cyclopses are not the overall natives rather than small groups or just in a few areas (Trolls are the army goons for Kaos while cyclopses are native to more icy enviourments)

A huge amount of effort for this review, I totally agree with what you said and even if there are minor points I could tell you missed like the fact that it isn't needed to complete everything to get portal master level 80, also the fact that you missed blast zone in the list of strong skylanders (I reached pt level 80 with his top part and his top path is very funny and destructive in coop) I would still give to the review a 9.5/10

I like how this game buffs some skylanders from the previous games like wrecking ball who was very weak and impractical becoming a good skylanders to use as he can knock back enemies and zap who can electricute enemies which don’t make them move.

They are boring but only 1 is even slightly difficult so its not the worst, overall, the game isnt hard to complete except from maybe the mesmeralda time attack, its just very long and boring
@@serbianskylands8776 Did you know its actually completely impossible to 100% swap force even if you own everything. Thats because the Golden Treasure Chest just registers as a normal treasure chest so the gold treasure chest cant be unlocked.

i have done this myself, and i gotta say, you need a LOT of patience to do this, for me personally the hardest parts of the game were doing the arena challenges on nightmare mode, and 3 starring the fire viper for the arena, cheesing it with either magna charge top or spy rise top is almost necessary on nightmare, magna charge head can throw enemies of the edge, but its risky to get too close or you will get hit, the spy rise top can use its third attack to stun enemies/see their health and the move goes through the shields of enemies as well as being able to steal HP from low health enemies, any bottom that can knock back enemies in some way like rattle shakes tail or freeze blades bottom are also super useful as well 3 starring fire viper requires you to not get hit AT ALL, this is pretty hard for most of the bosses but nearly impossible on fire viper, the problem is the arena itself and the poisonous goo surrounding it but it is manageable, the REAL issue is when you get to the second phase where he spawns a bunch of moving rocks around the stage, and its very annoying to maneuver around them without getting hit at all, i tried so many things from terrafin to spy rise bottom move... (difficulty doesnt even matter since it only counts for damage so this is best done on easy, which it is NOT) the swap zone challenges mostly weren't too bad, except for the spin and occasionally the climb zones, the no super spin star sucks as you will waste so much time chipping away at the rocks only to fly off, and the climb zones were only a pain because of the no hit star (those ones suck), at least beating them on nightmare isnt too bad compared to the actual game as you are mostly trying not to get hit anyway (even though the reward is not worth it i already forget what the reward was, i know it was either a hat or a legendary treasure) also as someone who did all 50 heroic challenges on the entirety of the SSA crew, this took WAAY longer to do and i highly do NOT recommend doing it, once you hit rank 80 just stop trying to get further completion, there is NOTHING you get from this (also personally i don't consider getting all of the figures a part of the 100% completion as well, it all depends on how much money you want to waste and considering I've already wasted enough time, I'd rather not waste my money as well)

I didnt know that, i only knew about the glumshanks one but i anyways found the time challenges very easy even for nightmare mode, the time objectives in giants were much harder if you dont use glitches
I love using the basic core characters and reposes sometimes becasue it allows me to just take my time and enjoy the level without focusing on the gimics sometimes i dont use the gates or challenges until i beat the game
I just noticed that Trap Team copied some story and plot elements from this game. The intro cutscenes introduce female villians (Kaos's Mom and Golden Queen) who team up with Kaos, the female villians detrone Kaos and become the main antagonists, the female villians kidnap 1 of your female friends (Callie and Tessa) and after you defeat the female villians, Kaos becomes the main antagonist again and final boss.
Yeah i thought about mentioning that in my upcoming tt review but trap team did it much better except from the whole cally kidnapping things but youre completely right

This game has a lot of enemies, but some of these enemies are stronger versions of enemies who were introduced in earlier levels. For example: 1st you have the Greeble smasher(those mechanical enemies who use their arms as a shield to block all of your attacks and you need wait ontill they try to smash you in order to deal damage (unless you're playing as Magna Charce)), then you have the Arkian smasher and then you have the trol smasher.
When his drill breaks in parts you have to find that one part that i showed and place sprockets tank on it and because sprockets tank stays on it, when the parts come back to the drill, the tank will be pretty much inside of the drill and the game just goes crazy

I'm confused... If you add up all of the stars in the portal master completion accolades it would come to 83/87? Where do the remaining 4 stars come from?
Some challenges are not shown, for example you get a challenge "complete 20 different lock puzzles" that gives you 1 star, once you do it you get another one "complete 20 different lock puzzles with 2 bolts" and then once that is done you get "complete 20 different lock puzzles with 3 bolts" that gives you 3 stars but if you immediately do every puzzle lock with 3 bolts you will get all 3 of these accolades at once which will be exactly 6 stars at once and that happens for most of the accolades

I initially thought this save file was on wii u, as i play it trough cemu, because it has an emulated portal of power with all nfc cards ever, and i really wanted to complete the work you've done with like placing skylanders etc., and its very easy to hack a wii u to get the save file, but sadly you cant really jb a ps5 or even if you had a jailbroken ps4 the save files are probably not compatible.

Great Video! Btw using 2 Sprockets makes it really easy to do the timed challenges in all non Boss levels. If you use a glitch that is.

how do you do the sprocket glitch in the evil glumshanks fight?
When his drill breaks in parts you have to find that one part that i showed and place sprockets tank on it and because sprockets tank stays on it, when the parts come back to the drill, the tank will be pretty much inside of the drill and the game just goes crazy

I'm confused... If you add up all of the stars in the portal master completion accolades it would come to 83/87? Where do the remaining 4 stars come from?
Some challenges are not shown, for example you get a challenge "complete 20 different lock puzzles" that gives you 1 star, once you do it you get another one "complete 20 different lock puzzles with 2 bolts" and then once that is done you get "complete 20 different lock puzzles with 3 bolts" that gives you 3 stars but if you immediately do every puzzle lock with 3 bolts you will get all 3 of these accolades at once which will be exactly 6 stars at once and that happens for most of the accolades

@@serbianskylands8776 wow you're actually a legend for replying. To share the save file you would need a jailbroken system. I initially thought this save file was on wii u, as i play it trough cemu, because it has an emulated portal of power with all nfc cards ever, and i really wanted to complete the work you've done with like placing skylanders etc., and its very easy to hack a wii u to get the save file, but sadly you cant really jb a ps5 or even if you had a jailbroken ps4 the save files are probably not compatible.
