Honestly, I feel like anybody that didn't notice Minzy had tremendous vocals even during her group promotions as a teen and young adult really weren't paying attention. She's always been able to have control while dancing, and you can hear her belt in pre-debut videos/2NE1 live performances such as the Sketchbook rendition of IF I WERE YOU. People first starting taking her singing more seriously during UNNIES season 2, but I still think her vocals deserve more recognition.
In a group of really interesting voices, she's the one that holds everyone together. I still remember the few covers she posted on UA-cam around 2012-2013 and it was always amazing to hear her sing. I remember hearing the If I were you for the first time and not realizing it was her in between the other 3 members because her voice had matured so much and got so many big parts! She really flowed with CL and Bom's voice so well :) I really wish the 2ne1 version for Let it comes out one day too

Gong Minzy is a different breed! There's really nothing she can't do. We already know she's a dancing queen, but damn her vocals have improved so much to level some of kpop's best main vocalists. At this point, she can literally win a singing competition just as much as she can slay anyone in a freestyle dance battle 🙌🏻
No cause Minzy didn't come to play. A live audience will appreciate a full on performance and she knew that. I feel like next partner she should really showcase her vocals even more like in KOMS. Minzy can do runs and harmonize really well. Vocally, I dont think this was her style. I enjoyed it though. She matches with Inseong really well. It's nice that Inseong was able to highlight his vocals here too
