In all my years of playing racing games, Hot Air Skyway is the only one that comes close to perfection. Great music, challenging track, and it just the right amount of weapons. Wish there was more like it.
I think this is my most played game of my childhood. Just listening to this music has brought me beautiful memories when I would play this around sunset, and the racetrack in the game had the same sunset sky as the one outside in real life. It was an amazing feeling! I used to cream my friends in this game all the time. They may've beaten me in Mario Kart, but CTR is a whole different story haha :D

It's a good thing Hot Air Skyway had my favorite soundtrack, because the learning curve was steep and I had to play for quite awhile to clear the level (kept falling over the edge lol)

I'm also pretty sure that Josh Mancell (the composer of the original Crash games) has uploaded the 'pre-console' versions of the soundtracks online, which is how they were originally intended to be heard, although the versions that made it into the games are a lot more iconic.

i still play this game to this day. i starting playing the year it came out. sister and cousin showed me it and, i was 3 at the time, and within a day i beat them at everything they raced=D, now, me and my buddy play it, we usually race in cortex castle= epic, hot air skyway and sewer speedway, 3 of my personal favorites. we have tournys each year in this town and im always the winner. i havnt lost once since it started 4 years ago.=D we host it twice a year. its ownage, =D CTR for ever!!!!!!

No matter what, I could NEVER get the hang of this track. I'd be falling off into the abyss wherever possible, trying to get back into the lead and failing as I either fall off or get pushed off by one of the other racers, eventually just giving up and handing the controller over to my dad.
