I had. 2018 zuma 125… I rode the hell out of that thing… around the city, jeep trails, the beach… I made little handle bars for my kid to hold on and Id pick him up from school with his little moto x helmet. I had a cooler that fit under the seat perfectly and installed a usb charger for my ph. We rode it to the water park, went camping with it,did estimates and grocery store runs ….Its the smallest and slowest bike I ever had , but so fun.
Some people just don't understand small displacement machines. It's fun to take these things to places it wasnt meant to be. Not because you should, but because you can
A fun video, boys! :) I rode a small 2-stroke dirtbike all over the Alaskan Bush back in the 70's when I was growing up. I even amazed myself about where a person could take an 11hp machine on two wheels. :)
What’s so fun about a scooter, is it is fun to wheelie them just for fun. You can jump it and not feel bad. You can strap surfboards to it. You can use the trunk as a cooler and take a girl on a date. The possibilities are endless. Gotta love em.
A scooter or motor scooter is a type of motorcycle with a step-through frame and a platform for the rider's feet. Elements of scooter design were present in some of the earliest motorcycles, and scooters have been made since at least 1914. (From Wikipedia)
question... was it the rider, or was the monkey struggling more than the zuma? the scooter and minimoto are both pushing around 125cc. and they both have somewhat knobby tires. the only difference i can see is that the zuma is automatic.
I think the Zuma has way more torque. When I had one I'd go off-roading all the time and it was incredibly capable especially going up hill. My new Like 150i doesn't come close.
Those Kenda's are great! I have them on a spare set of wheels for my grom up at my parent's property and they're great. I think the Maxxis are better on road than the kendas but offroad the kendas do have the slight edge IMHO.
The monkey would be more fun around town and goofing on trails but if I had to live with one it would have to be the zuma. Having no storage on the monkey would get old quick
@@hurt1704 I do. Either is a good choice. On the trail... TW all the way. In the city I'd go with the 125. If you think you may ever need to ride a passenger you're gonna want the TW, but the storage rack on the 125 is way too handy to just dismiss. Also the TW has been in production (almost completely unchanged) for 45 years. Which means the aftermarket is HUGE and they are EVERYWHERE. Probably 75% of the farmers and ranchers I know have one. That means it's easy to find people that know a lot about them. The TW isn't nearly as cargo friendly. But, skinny tires get damaged easy compared to the TW. Neither bike is far superior to the other it just depends on your needs. I like the 125 but, I'm team T-Dub all the way.
Honestly I think this was pretty equal to the Z&A off road scooter episode. Z&A had the chemistry but this was as good/better in some areas - great job!
Small bikes are a blast, had some of the most fun on a lil 500 dollar pepboys bike with a lawn mower engine, not fast but them balloon tires would get me all over the desert

I did the same but in the late 90s and in Texas.
Riding is supposed to be FUN !!!! Everyone is tired of the scientific analysis of whatever !!! Just ride what you have ! 😜

Better riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow 😌
Motorcycling's biggest cliché.

thanks ryan, troy for this video. u reminded me that anything on two wheels can b a whole lot of fun and worth owning. take care guys and b well!

That Zuma 125 has a particular punchy engine down low. Not to mention the Monkey rider chose those steep hills!

The yamaha still comes in 2 stroke here in Namibia. It’s amazing fun
Proud of you both for this! Love to see more of this!

Kimi Raikkonen's English has really improved
Wtf? Huh ?
I was dying laughing when I recognized the Gold Mtn trail! I wish you had done the first staircase!🤣
I have a cruiser, sport and zuma 125 I ride Zuma most. Small bikes are fun
Which one do you all like Best and which is faster
2022 Zuma upgraded the engine further not to mention adding in a liquid cooled engine!
What a great video 🤙
Awesome
That was strangely entertaining. Where is that awesome trail you guys went on?!
It looks like Big Bear area, Holcomb Valley.
It was in Big Bear, CA. 3N69. I’ve got a few vids on the entire trail. Very awesome. They barely scratched the surface.
I love the big bear area. Rented a pontoon boat there once. Terrible traffic going up there though on a Friday

What tires were put on the zuma for off road? I have a 125 zuma for fun and want to make it a scrambler
Eating ice-cream on a hot day?? How silly!
Only problem is by the time you get to an off road location with that thing you will be out of fuel
Monkey wins by default since the Zuma Is a scooter, not a bike...?
bike = 2 wheels
I like the idea of this. I do.But, for the money and how much these weigh, I'm going with the TW200. Even if I only rode it in the heart of the city.
Do you think the tw200 is a better all around bike?

Sometimes the frames crack on a TW200.

Love the Monkey!
Next up: take those two bikes to streets of Willow!
Z&A beat u to this already. Baja
Would not be my choice of bike for that ride, or my choice of ride for that bike...
Which one of these would you say is faster?
Zuma but the monkey with Street tires will go a bit faster.
@@Bert439 I'd have to disagree, Zuma is a scooter while the Monkey is a motorcycle, where generally it's faster
Strange comparison.
Having fun is great, but is it too much to ask to include a little bit of useful info?

That thumbnail tho
Try honda ADV150...
Or, just get a supermoto!
WTF!
If I had to ride either one of these turds I would also take it to where nobody can see me.
Dane Lovell that’s a shame
These are stupid bikes.
