Also I would LOVE to hear more about DVC renting points. I went to the David’s vacation club site but didn’t know where to start. It’s a lot to take in.
We’re going in January so I’ve been watching all of your videos. My husband and I have been before (long ago!), but it’ll be the first time for our 5 year old. I’m so glad you mentioned not doing park hopper. I didn’t opt for it and wondered if I made a mistake. We did rent DVC points to be able to stay at the Poly 🙌🏻 I am SO excited because we’ve never stayed in a deluxe resort. The dining budgeting in this video was so helpful!
Aww, you guys are going to have so much fun!! Having that can add stress instead of add to the vacation especially since it's been so long. There will be lots to do at each park to fill a day. Oh that will be so fun and being close to Magic Kingdom is AMAZING!!
We are thinking about going February 2024. I have heard that, that is not as busy as other times. It’s after all the major holidays, and before most people’s spring breaks. I have 3 kids. They will be 11, 10, and almost 5 when we go. I have been loving watching all your top videos 👍
February can definitely be less busy just watch out for RunDisney race weekends other than that February is very nice. Thank you so much for watching!!
You should check into buying an annual pass through DVC, that’s what we have. It saves so much money adding up all the days. So far this year we’ve been May, July, September, and one more trip in December.
Thanks for this! That spreadsheet looks super helpful. I’m so bad about getting swept up in the “Disney magic” and spending way more on food and toys than planned. Next time I’ll try out your methods and see if I can make myself stick to it! I like the idea of budgeting using the most expensive menu items at the planned restaurants, that way if I go cheaper here and there I can add in more spontaneous snacks or merch!
I highly recommend keeping your vacation money in a savings account but then using that money to buy discounted Disney gift cards at BJ’s right before it’s time to make final payment for your trip. We paid for our entire trip plus all of our food and souvenirs with these discounted gift cards and saved about $800 which is not at all insignificant! Also, I LOVE planning our Disney vacations, it’s my favorite vacation to plan, but we always use a Disney Vacation Planner. It’s free, she’s great, and can be as hands on or hands off as I’d like. For example, I book all of our dining reservations but my travel planner keeps track of all the discounts and automatically applies them when they drop so I don’t have to worry about it. She’s also spent hours on hold with Disney to fix an issue with MDE we were having so I didn’t have to. So just wanted to clarify that you can still be extremely hands on with planning even if you’re using a planner!
We paid for park hopper for our May trip with 2 toddlers and didn’t use it once 🙈 Rookie mistake! Agree with everything you said… park hopping with little ones is just not a vibe 😂 Didn’t add it on for our next trip planned for February! 🎉
Thank you for this! I'm currently expecting and plan on taking our little one for their first birthday and have been overwhelmed with the best way to budget. This is awesome and can't wait too use it! Ive also been considering renting DVC points so would love to hear more about it!
You're so welcome! It's a lot to budget and plan a Disney trip so this helps give you a rough number to start saving for. Congratulations!! We loved taking our daughter for her first birthday. 😍
We did Animal Kingdom Lodge on our last trip. (It’s my parents home resort for DVC). It’s such a fun resort and the food is delicious!! We’ve learned that you’ll want to request your room location, because it can be a LONG walk to your room.
@@thepixiedustedmom At Animal Kingdom we’ve only ever stayed at Kidani Village. The bread service at Sanaa is really good. We got it twice. We’ve also stayed at Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge. I like Wilderness lodge of the 3 best. But would like to try some of the other resorts soon!
I can confirm that gift cards aren’t always the best idea. Bought everything at BJs to save a few percent off the total of my April 2020 trip. Disney was great about refunding, but then the money was tied up on gift cards until we final head on our trip later this month.
Oh my goodness! Subscriber and huge fan here! 😊 I’m a financial coach and my passion is helping families get their finances in order to pay cash for Disney. So happy to see this content! 😍 I’m open to any collab opportunities
Hey! I'm interested to hear about the car company. I know you used Sunshine Flyer previously, but they have a special again for kids being free. Even if you don't go that route, maybe someone else can benefit!!
Also I would LOVE to hear more about DVC renting points. I went to the David’s vacation club site but didn’t know where to start. It’s a lot to take in.
Okay, I will have to add that to my list of videos!
You are so well-spoken with a great camera presence in these types of videos! My husband and I always comment on it when we watch! Loved this one!
Please do a video on renting dvc points!! We are looking into it for our next trip
I LOVE how you customized the budget template! 😍 So fun to see!!
It's literally perfect for adding or taking out anything that you don't want on a particular trip! You killed it!!!
Thank you for sharing this
I love this.

We’ll be there in September too

I wish we could! We are resale members so we don’t receive the discount on AP’s. :(
@@thepixiedustedmom oh no, I hate that be a it saves so much money. We’re DVC members that bought direct, I’m sorry I had no idea.

Thank you for this. Do you recommend booking the park tickets first before the resort reservations?

That's a huge savings!! Wish we had a BJ’s in our area.
Oh yes, using a travel planner has lots of perks and flexibility for sure!
Could you do a dave vacation club rentals dvc please? I am so interested.
I can definitely add that to my list!
I didn’t know you were DVC! Can you make a video about that? My husband and I are planning on joining soon, so I’d love your insight!
Yes! We love it!! I actually have this video of a cost comparison and thoughts ua-cam.com/video/Wceow1eCEB0/v-deo.html
@@thepixiedustedmom oh, awesome! Thanks!
We’re going in September! We’re super excited- my husband’s and 3 year old’s first times!
Love your videos!! Going to Disney soon for the fist time as a mother, and the first time in almost 15 years!! Love all your advice ❤️
Yay!!! Have so much fun!!
Wow wow wow
I will be using this template and strategies for this upcoming trip!! Thank you!!!

Definitely not a fun or magical vibe 😂

We’re DVC also and before joining we only stayed deluxe and you save so much becoming a member. We own at Boardwalk and recently Grand Floridian.
We own at Saratoga Springs but would live to own Grand Floridian! It's such a huge savings!!
Definitely going to use Amazon Fresh for our breakfasts and snacks on our next trip!
It helps so much!!
I am curious what car company you used? Did you like it? How was it with little ones?
I will be sharing a full review after our trip.

It's nice that it's already paid for but tough when you might could have used the money on something else.

I'm glad to hear they extended that offer! Definitely a great way to save some money.
👏🏻 This is amazing! ✨
Thanks, Whitney!!
