A rare tree with the power to cure

While the fight raged in the late 1980s and early '90s to save old growth trees from the chainsaw, those same forests were yielding a new discovery: bark from the rare Pacific yew tree, which grew in the shadow of Douglas fir and hemlock trees, could be used for cancer medicine.
