how old is this flic. 1984? Apple Mac Classuc as an office machine? The Taxol trade has developed significantly. Also there is a process now to produce Taxol from Yew foliage. There is also a Canadian species of low growing bushy Yew that is cultivated in Plantations. And the Yew trees are stil around. They are a valuable resource.
Does anyone know if a yew tree will keep growing if someone has previously stripped the bark off the lower part of the trunk? I suspect not. I suspect that the tree will loose its protective qualities that prevent it from molding and rotting, but I don't know.

Have a separate forest of those trees that is sustainable like they do for other products
