A question from an ignorant Aussie: 4:10 What are these awesome racers? Wheel-standing under acceleration on dirt! Can someone please tell me the tech details on these things?
The Mini pickup/Ute looking beasts are typically either twin motorbike engines or Chevy V8. Spaceframed roll cage with Mini panels hung on the outside.
Class 7 autograss cars. Spaceframe, 2wd, mid engine 'super saloons' (despite almost all of them being pickups or a hatchback). Twin bike power in the form of the V8 Hayabusa has been the way to go but the 6.2 Chevy V8 has recently made a bit of a comeback as a seriously competitive engine, but we've also had a Jaguar V6 and Ecoboost Ford power winning lately, there's the odd Supercharged K20 on the scene and I believe there's even a rotary one being built that I hope gets finished. It's really become quite the wild west of combinations in recent times its great to see. It'd be cool to see you aussies come over and give it a go too, I notice a lot more of you chaps watching these vids now!
Thanks for that info,@@PescaraProductions . They look like a lot of fun with all that torque and power. Wheelstands! Love it. The minis blew me away too, and @od3447 informed of how they were built.
@danellis1253 I've always wondered if that was it tbh. Could never tell. I guess higher fps means smoother vid which makes it look slightly faster? Never too sure. Always makes me double check though😅
I saw my entire race team in this 😂
Nice 📹 video
Thank you 🙂
