Dear Eric, we have much problems here in Europe with the Corona-Virus. Yesterday 800 people died in Italy. Please be carefull and all the best to you and you`re familiy! We love you`re Videos and help for golf. Best wishes, Erich
Eric did I understand this correctly from your guests, to hit a fade: ensure you are gripping the club square, then place it down facing the leading edge to the left of target (assuming right handed player), then aim body at the target? Thanks!
I would say most players who hit the fade would aim their club FACE slightly LEFT of the target and their BODY even more LEFT than that.... Not everyone does it the same but I would say as I described above would be most common.
Eric I love the collaboration with all the professionals you’ve been doing lately. Sometimes, as in this video though, it seems like you have a preconceived notion of where you want the video to go or the tips you want the guest to share instead of just letting the guest have the freedom to give their own perspective. Don’t get me wrong, your channel is awesome, and Ive learned a lot as a mid handicap golfer. Thanks!
In discussing aim and of course alignment, the term parallel left is used extensively by instructors but none of them define the term. Of course if I place an alignment stick 2&1/2 feet parallel to but on the left side of the target line then my alignment is 2&1/2 feet left of the target. Yet many I see appear to be aligned at least 5 yards or more left of the target. Seems to me if I align directly at the target my clubface will only be 2&1/2 feet right of the target if my clubface is parallel to my alignment. Sound confusing? Absolutely. Eric, please do a video on how to align and define this notion of parallel left (for the right handed player). Thank you. I enjoy your explanations.
Great swing thoughts, like the comment “do this for like three months”. Enjoy seeing the guests and hitting their websites for more content. Great video, if we are not getting enough GIRs, which I’m not, going to look at aiming.
Based on the math....easier to play a curve! Straight ball requires face EXACTLY square to path... To draw a ball for example....let's say with a path 4* to the right....a club face anywhere from 1*-3* to the right would produce a good draw. So you have 3 * of options for face alignment for curve....only one for straight. You CAN play straight...probably 1/3 of the best players in the world hit it fairly straight....but most have slight curve. Easier to predict I would say.

Thanks for the feedback, Taylor! Will keep that in mind moving forward!
Malaska says since club is behind ball, face should be open at set up 4 to 6 degrees for “straight “ shot.

Appreciate it! Great guys....Chan is awesome and Andy is a great coach!
You're an amazing teacher.
Thanks, Mike!
Eric, why might hitting a straight shot "not be the best idea"? (6:24)

@@CogornoGolf I hit a lot of straight shots. Accidently!
@@CogornoGolf Thanks, that makes sense.
Do you have a video on how to shape shots?
Heres an old one...will need to do a new one at some point but this still applies as basic info to start
