@MsXBOX360GIRL Southern would weigh a lot less than a northern. Often the cap would not be beaded, but an embroidered silk/cloth, as the northern would be. The beading adds a LOT of weight. When I danced, I would estimate my beaded buckskin at 10-15#. It does depend on the size and the style. People would joke that ladies trad. dancers would be the easiest, but it's not.
