I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American. I vote for that Seattle at Portland game in 1995-96, where he got triple teamed, flung a bounce pass to Buck Williams, and Buck slammed it. That made the difference in the Blazers winning that game.
Indeed. Many people wonder what could have been. But the Ruskies with their Cold War mentality to win no matter the cost overused him very badly in the eighties. That is what laid the foundation for his future chronic leg issues. Still put up quite a show for a semi-disabled athlete. :D Cannot but bow down and respect the dude.
you dont know what you are talking about. In NBA each team play 82 games, how come 'Ruskies' overused him? He played more than 82 games? He played maybe a few games with injection, but hey, this is a norm in NBA! Besides, Patrick Ewing had almost same problems at his late 20s. he totally lost his mobility even in 1993, at the age of 30. Maybe the Russkies overussed him, too, though he never heard about it?

scary idea...would have been amazing to watch when you put it that way. His paasing game was pretty buttery tho as a high posting big man. He hurt paint defenses even till his last playing years.
Sal Amander his post game wasn't Hakeem level
12.0 ppg 2.1 APG 7.3RPG is not that impresive.
Sabonis did play against Olajuwon from 1995-2001. Sabonis won 7 games, Olajuwon won 6. Sabonis had more rebounds and had a higher FG%, 3p% and FT%. If a very injured and old Sabonis could do this to Olajuwon then a young Sabonis is better than Olajuwon, sorry.
I'm related to this guy. One of the most underrated players of all time. I'd even call him the greatest passing center of all time with his skill. Can't wait to see Domantas Sabonis tear up the NBA when he leaves Gonzaga!
Best of best !
THE BEST|!
He had skills💯🔥
The most talented bigman in the history of the game
2:48 David Robinson got so mad that Arvydas dunked on him twice, so he trained hard and became a legend. Arvydas making a difference.
The best european center of all time and one of the at the world.
Europe had Arvydas Sabonis best years yet he was a dominant big man in the twilight of his career in the NBA. His son is a different type of player but he'll write another chapter of excellence as he perfects his profession.
Great video of one of my favorite players. Dude was badass.
SABONIS-MAGIA💪💫🏀
Brilliant basketball mind.What a flair.
This guy may have been the best all round player ever. The way he destroyed David Robinson in the Goodwill games was jaw dropping.
Jep ;)
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American. I vote for that Seattle at Portland game in 1995-96, where he got triple teamed, flung a bounce pass to Buck Williams, and Buck slammed it. That made the difference in the Blazers winning that game.
Sjajan video matori. Samo nastavi. Pozdrav.
He is my fav player im from the same country as him
Kazkas nuostabaus.
Simply the BEST!
Grande Sabas!
El mejor center que ha dado Europa.
Una leyenda del basketball.
I used to love this dude.
His knees were already shit when he came to the u.s. and he still tore it up in the league.
Not the Ruskies , soviets .
Remigijus Jonaitis Yes, with a particular emphasis on Estonians, Latvians, and Lithuanians, not to mention Georgians.
zybergis and Russians ;)
you dont know what you are talking about.
