Nice! I love the Car view in the app and the fact that I can filter cars by analog vs digital and non mag vs mag, etc. great way to catalog your car collection..
Double check it still works, there have been a few releases since then and a more recent one certainly started ignoring the number of space characters... not sure on the exact current state of play on this @SmartRace ?
Well right now I've only got two cars without numbers so they're at the end as "BMW 330 Police car" and "Ford Capri RS2800" so yeah I think I'll go alphabetically by manufacturer at the end going forwards.
If you wanted them all at the start before the numbered ones you could begin with a single [space] which is "earlier in the alphabet" than the # I'm using to prefix numbers
I tried your approach and SR did not recognize #spacespace3, converted it to @space3, I had to use #space03 to get the correct result showing the number as 03, not 3. I'm using version 6.0 of SR. Any suggestions? Thank you
Nice hack! 😀
Nice app! 😃

I find I pick a car up to use, it's got a number I can scroll to it faster than I can filter to it in the assign list this way :)
I am a new SmartRace user and about to add all cars so this hack is very handy. Thank you. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺

Will do. If space no longer work just pad out using leading zeros instead eg, #001, #045, etc 👍
Was at the dentist, missed the live stream. Replay time. Wow...so simple yet, so not thought of. Thank you Mr.Wizard
great trick you've found, always nice to have good info in a short video. thanks

Excellent hack!
Very nice sir
Ok cool, so what do you do for cars without numbers? (Street versions) Alphabetically they will all be at the end I guess...

How do I assign my truspeed controller in smart race? Always comes up unassigned. Thanks
Smart Race doesn't care what controller you use, if it says unassigned then it's the person that is missing from the setup
@slotr yes I am aware, or assumed that. For some reason when I input my name, driver, car still comes up unassigned. I will try again tonite. Thanks
@@slotr also when I use wireless carrera controllers names are always assigned. Just weird

No it stopped working in the latest version. Very annoying
@slotr Yes, it's very annoying. I guess I can live with 03 vs. 3. Thank you for the reply.
Marvelous
Is the # necessary?
it guarantees the numbers are "alphabetically first" and appeases my OCD :)
