My family first stayed here WAAAYYY back in 1973. Pre Rosen years. It was a Quality Inn and across the street from the hotel was nothing but trees and overgrown growth. International Drive didn't have hardly any traffic on it then either! This whole area has gone crazy wild in the last 49 years (and yes...I have Super 8mm home movies from our stay here. The original pool and kids wading pool haven't changed hardly at all since then!).
Rosen inn international is a great stay if your on a budget after all you only really sleep there. As long as the rooms are clean and the bed is comfy ' stayed there a few times no complaints so far.
These are great. I hope you keep doing a whole series of budget hotels on/near I-drive. I have been looking at hotels in the area and reviews tend to be so mixed that it's hard to tell what choice is at least decent for your money.
Hi Mazzy, thanks for your kind feedback. Yeah I felt the same about the hotels on I-Drive which was one of the motivations for this channel. At the moment, I think it’s between the Rosen Inn International, Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando and Avanti Resort in terms of best value. But I haven’t stayed at Endless Summer yet so I plan on doing a vid on that in the new year. Any other hotels you’d considered?
@@TheFrugalBrit I don't know the area (I'm not from Orlando) but I personally am considering the La Quinta hotel and the Wynham convention Center. Both are owned by Wynham, both offer free shuttle to parks, both offer free breakfast, both offer free WIFI. I like the free breakfast so that's one less meal I have to pay (thought technically I suppose you are paying it in the hotel price, but the prices of these are below $80/night).
Mazzy Black don’t consider anywhere else other than this hotel it is 100% great in every way clean comfy it has friendly staff it is close to everywhere we have been to Florida 19/20 Times and stayed in villas 3* 4* hotels but been here several times now and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else
this was the first hotel I everstayed at in Florida back in 95 went to it two more times in 97 and 2000, my parents picked it due to its location as it was easy to get to all the parks thanks to being right next to I4, glad to see they have invested in the hotel and upgraded the rooms.
It was the first hotel built on I-Drive I believe. Nice to see it’s still there. Decent location, shame that Wet N’ Wild had to go though. Thank you watching 👍
Stayed here on no less than 10 times since 1991 (it was called the Quality Inn back then). I personally have always found it a great place to stay in regards to easy access to local eateries and the motorway ( I 4 ). Frugal Brit is absolutely spot on with all aspects to his review. The only thing i would add (from a personal point of view) is if you are planning to stay here then it would be to your advantage to have a hire car. You can easily walk up and down i-drive to eat out etc but to get to Disney World etc is easier as the motorway is just 30 second from the Hotel. Great review Frugal Brit, it brought back so many happy memories for me.
we have stayed at the Rosen Inn International we had a fantastic stay, good clean rooms with great staff, the food in the bar is simple but very good value, we are defiantly going to stay here again next time we visit the U.S
Had been going to this Hotel for 30 years on family vacations when it was the Quality Inn International. I remember when it was foreclosed on in the 70's sitting there with overgrown weeds. Mr. Rosen gave an offer to the bank and the rest was history. Rosen Hotels are up to 7 in the Orlando area. They are your best bang for your buck. Could spend 2 weeks at Rosen for the cost of a 4day/5night stay at Disney. Oh did I mention I moved my family to Orlando and worked at Rosen in the Engineering Dept.
Yeah I believe Mr Rosen has quite an interesting story, i understand he used to work for Disney before they let him go, then he went and bought this hotel. Thanks for sharing 👍😁
Great hotel right in the middle of everything you need in Orlando. I wish I had filmed a more details tour like your video... I will have to go back and try again 🙌😉
Budget stay but as a place just to stay to enjoy the delights of Florida great value for money . Stayed here once it was fine . One plus for me location 👍
How would you compare this Rosen to the Rosen Inn - Closet to Universal? I am planning a trip to Orlando in the fall 2022 and have been pouring over your videos to get hyped and to make sure I don't miss anything! I was able to get an extremely good deal at the Rosen - Closest to Universal over Rosen International. There are very few videos on the Rosen Inn- Universal. I would love to know your thoughts on it!
Stayed there for 14 days in 1993. Then it was called quality inn. (Same owner) it is really nice, the rooms are quite spacious and every building has its own pool. So no crowds. Really in a nice spot on international drive with lots of shops and restaurants to visit. If I visit Florida again, I will go there for sure.
The Frugal Brit - Orlando there was a Pizza Hut just outside of the hotel. I see that has been gone LOL. Oh well, Denny’s is always good chow too. I remember Pizza Hut had the Bigfoot pizza at that time. And Pepsi had clear Pepsi. Hahaha where has the time gone.
Haha! Yeah I was there in 1993 when clear cola/Pepsi was all the rage! In particular I recall necking a tonne of these: images.app.goo.gl/4GzcwvKezMskFmU17 Good times!
Stayed here twice, once at Rosen point orlando, and once at Avanti international and I like Rosen International the best . Didn't like the Avanti much at all, going back in November (hopefully) but have opted to stay at the Sonesta this time
I’ve stayed at the hotel 11 times since I first stayed there in 1991 when it was the quality inn international and I’m booked in for a 12th in December 2021, COVID permitted, and I can’t recommend it enough. The last 5 times without a car because it’s a great location and there are many cheap places for eating with a 10 minute walk. Even universal is no more than a 15-20 minutes walk, I just wouldn’t recommend all the time as even at 10am, even in September it can be 90 degrees plus! The beds are comfy and the rooms clean and I’ve never found the AC to be an issues with sleep and I have it on the lowest setting. The only 2 technically 3 issues I had was a broken lock the first night I arrived in 2002 I think it was, and it was fixed inside 30 minutes by their maintenance. 2nd was a broken light lamp that didn’t switch on but it wasn’t a problem for me, I let them know and said no rush and in the next couple of days is was fixed or replaced when I was out. 3rd was a bat that flew into me room when I opened the door one night. Inside of 10 minutes 2 people with a net turned and in a few minutes it was caught and then released. The restaurant is ok if you don’t want to go too far if you’ve had a long day at the parks, the food is nice but nothing special but is a buffet so you can fill up more than once. The shop the same a good but limited selection and the do carry some British snacks but as mentioned is a bit pricey. If you are on a tight budget an going to Disney you can actually go by bus. That the iRide Trolley down to the stop before SeaWorld and at opposite side of the road is the Lynx bus stop and get a 50 bus into the transportation centre at Magic Kingdom. The draw back is it takes roughly 75min approximately to get to Magic Kingdom. The iRide trolley is also goes straight to SeaWorld and Aquatica and you can get a transfer from there to discovery cove. The IRide also goes all along international drive if you want to avoid taxis but gets very busy, I normally go there on the iRide and then get a cab back. A 14 day iRide pass is like $20 for unlimited rides. I even spent 2 days inside when hurricane Matthew swept through in 2016, in the days leading up the staff left in your room to let you what and to do if go bad and also what stuff you should get just in case, like water and food etc and where to get it cheaply. Not more I can say, yes if you are used to the finer things in life you’d be staying on property Disney or universal, so you’d never look at the Rosen chain.
Stayed there for a week in 2016,no frills but very good value. Lost 3hrs for a time share for discount blue man group tickets, never again & the person who ‘enticed’ us was an old man on a mobility scooter, only spoke to him because we felt sorry for him.
The map at 1:07 is incorrect. Sand Lake is the big road running through the middle of the picture. the road you labeled Sand Lake is actually Carrier Dr.

@@TheFrugalBrit it was fine tbh. We requested ground floor room. Block E. Kids were at the pool untill 10pm however i think thats good as if you have been at parks all day or out and about it gives them pool time. Tbh your in orlando. There is always something going on. Noise is expected

Always found it nice, and the location is great.
