I wd love to start knitting one of these but I’m sorry to say I was a bit confused about just how to start off. Do I just cast on 59 and then do the double decrease immediately on the 1st row? I have searched for a pattern showing me how to do one of these blankets but they all confuse me a bit. Maybe this method of knitting will not be for me after all. Your video was good apart from actually starting off.

When you cast on 59 stitches after how many stitches do you insert the stitch market?
After 28 sts on the first row you add the marker, it will need to be placed one stitch less every second row.

The patterns shows the colour changes, but we do 10 rows of each colour.
