Do y'all offer compressor wheel upgrades for Cat GTA47 turbos? If not, is it just a matter of swapping in a long shaft GT47 turbine with a backplate which I assume is different to get a better compressor wheel?
Yes sir, we offer some modern aero for the GTA 47, no need to change shaft styles. We have upgraded thrust bearings and other options as well. Email us if you would like to discuss further! support@workturbochargers
I have not had many GTC series units through our shop, but generally speaking all Garrett "boreless" wheels will have a closed off nut on the end like I describe in my video. If it has a through hole design where you can see the shaft, it will be a GT/GTX Series.
