I played Everdell solo this month and love trying out all the expansions! You’re definitely introducing me to new board games to look into solo.
Very nice! I STILL need to try Everdell solo. Maybe I will try to do that this month! We only have the Bellfaire expansion. What other expansion do you recommend for solo play? So glad! Love introducing games to people. 🥰

I love cob the card game! No one ever talks about it but it's so good. I like playing it with others as well as the solo. Good list of games! Having a solo challenge is great idea!

Poltergeist episode of final girl is REALLY difficult, but, it's a lot of fun.

I've been playing a lot of Final Girl lately while I'm waiting for my Series 2 to arrive. Easily my favorite solo game! I love the crazy stories that can come out of it when an event card makes some unexpected (and sometimes hilarious) twist happen.
YESSS! It's so good! So many funny things have happened already in just my 2 first plays. 😊 Can't wait for you to get season 2!
I love the idea of a solo challenge but i feel cascadia is hard to compare if you don't take into account which version of each animal you get. Some are naturally harder to get points, work better with others etc.
Yes when Legendsdm and I run the challange we just stipulate which version of each animal to use
Completely understand where you are coming from Josiah. 😊 Like James said that is what they do over on Ruel's Discord and I really enjoy that! But I want the point of the TBGG Solo Challenge to be more about just playing the specific game in any way each person wants. More about the connection than the comparison of scores if that makes sense. So everyone doesn't need to be on equal playing fields.

I agree all AI's are forever Edith! I was trying to play Fleet the other day and Ruth quickly became Edith and i was just like, fail you're now Edith, Ruth!

Great game choice for solo game - the Missions in the rulebook give such replayability!
I am working through my solo game collection...finally learning a bunch of games on my SoS! I played Orchard, Ganz Schön Clever, Under Falling Skies, and Three Sisters. I tried to start simple and then ramp up the game weights through the month. (Bonus, I also put together two super cute puzzles from mudpuppy!)
I played wayfarers solo this month too and it’s definitely challenging but in a good way! Also loving the timestamp names 😉
Still haven’t tried Three Sisters but I regularly call all AI - The Machine from Fantastic Factories lol

I have played the Castle of Burgundy Solo mode and I agree, the rule that you must win every round is annoying.
This month I played solo:
- Lord of the Rings LCG.
- Oh my Goods.
- Call to Adventure: Epic Origins
- Fleet the dice game.

The challenge idea is cool. I just bought Final Girl but I am a little overwhelmed😊 but Rodney smith will help me out
I played Orleans Joan of Arc, Coffee Roaster, Floriforous, Floorplan and Meadow! I love these games! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm not usually a fan of solo only games, but Final Girl is great. I think the horror theme/tropes was what really drew me in and hooked me. They did such a great job with the mechanics, theme, and little references. I'm looking for more heavily thematic solo games.
So glad Cascadia won! I’ll definitely solo that this month. Especially after my rough February of solo gaming. I personally played Dwellings of Eldervale solo, twice, and got beat bad both times. Like you, I also soloed Wayfarers. I got the space focused AI and holy crap did I get whooped! Finally, I also played Final Girl once. I have Slaughter in the Groves and I got wrecked by Inkanyaba in that one too! Oof, I need to get better😅
Wayfarers is just fantastic! I played 4 times after picking it up last month. I've only played the Townsfolk and Upgrade AIs, and was able to beat Townsfolk on the third try! I love the idea of the caravan, what a unique way to work with dice!
YESSS! 👏🏻 And very nice! I need to get it to the table again so I can beat it! I think the caravan mechanism is my favourite part of the game. 😊

Wayfarers looks like a ton of fun! I only have Architects of the West Kingdom and I love it, so I'm very much looking forward to this. Also, thanks for the heads-up on the Scholars Kickstarter, I had not realized :)

Yes! I just got the kittens and beast expension and love it. It gives more options to think about. And now I am thinking of buying the boat pack. Don’t know about the late Arrivals yet. From what I understand its just to add 2 more players.

I love Twilight Inscription. Only played it solo, i would like to try it at 2-3 players.
I also agree on an expansion with more goals.
When I tell you I was so depressed when I was attempting to play Final Girl one day. I couldn't wait anymore for season 2 to arrive, so I bought one of the season 1 boxes. I was about to start setting up and then the realization hit me, I don't have the core box 😫😫.
Loving the Cascadia solo challenge. That's one of my favorites and currently working my my through the scenarios.
I'm interested in solo games (thanks for covering them extensively). I really like the look of Castles of Burgundy and Hadrian's wall, which one would you recommend? (board games, not card games I think)

Keep an eye out for Legacy of Yu, the next game in Garphill's Ancient Anthology and their first solo only game! A little bit West Kingdom, a little bit Hadrian's Wall. And it's a fully resettable campaign that adjusts difficulty as you go. Backers receiving in the next couple of months.

I played 32 different solo games in Feb. I wanted to start off strong on the year's goal of 100 different games played. I played cascadia a couple days ago and was going for the scenario where you need 3 foxes played and a score which is high for me. I had to spend the bonus point item to get new animal discs to come out to even see 3 foxs in the whole game. won the scenario but close call.

Castles of Burgundy the card game is very good, I remember it was the first video of a game being played I watched! (hence one of my first games)
I should play it again (I remember one time when I played outdoor... and a gush of wind! LOL!)
I'd like to try Final Girl, as I like horror movies! (not too gore however. Saw or Hostel are not for me)
I don't know On Tour, you make me discover it! It seems very exciting! Same thing concerning Àgueda. It' a beautiful game.
I don't remember which games I played in February, not many, being busy to tidy up my house, store my stuff for my future move.
But I bought Dice Hospital the Roll 'n Write and was disappointed. Not many things to do, no satisfying combinations... It looks like the first roll 'n write of 2018 , and even Welcome to your new home has more meat around the bone! (Is this said?).
Zombicide Gear Up is so much funnier!
ah, and of course I began Subterra II
It's as fun as the first Subterra. I died very quickly in my few trials ha ha!
I prefer "The Descent", the movie atmosphere of Subterra I than the "Indiana Jones" feeling of Subterra II but both are first rate games.They are simple to understand, very hard to win, anyway, the game is the fun!

I'm waiting for Boussanga, an abstract/puzzle game (like Gorinto, or Baron Voodoo). The videos are exciting.

Sad thing through is that I think I threw out the rulebook accidentally. 😂 I definitely recommend Final Girl and On Tour they are both wonderful. I hope you can get to some more gaming this month! 5:45 So why would we ever want to play The Card Game, as opposed to The Board Game, if that is the case? It takes up just as much space as The Board Game, with no dice. To me, I would much rather just play The Board Game - and if I wanted a different experience - lighter - than I would play The Dice Game.
