- Dude at the Buried Alive Tour in Minneapolis, MN on 12/3/11 got his dream. He held up a sign saying it was his dream to sing Second Heartbeat. M Shadows let the crowd decide if he should get to or not....and obviously you can see what we decided....He was actually pretty good dont yah think?

@@randomrobinnnn2884 m shadows really couldn't sing that well back then either. He solely used his voice with little to no singing lessons. Obviously after waking the fallen he went through a lot of vocal training and sounds a lot better.

Imagine how hard it is to hear yourself without an in-ear though. That's why his screams were so good because they're kinda atonal so it doesn't matter if he's in key but for the melodic stuff he can't hear if he's on pitch or not

For all of those talking shit may I point out the following. First, I'm sure he could not hear himself over the crowd and instruments as he lacked an in ear... That being said it could very well be the reason why his timing was off in the beginning and the reason his singing was a little off key. Next the screaming was great! You shouldn't be bashing this kid his dream came true we should be happy for him as fans. Hell I've been playing guitar for 11 years and if I was called up to play second heartbeat with the guys I'd probably shit myself and screw up even though I've played that song 100,000 times.

I WENT TO THIS CONCERT :D His timing was off at first because I can imagine how insanely nervous he was, but after that he just was crazy good at the screams!
That was awesome for him! Gates solo was tight too, and the best solo on that album.

the shout out to gates for the solo was nice asf of him to do, even gates turned around and smiled! because of him actually trying to scream I can hear and tell the band was trying too. and I mean actually playing as if they were in the studio.

So I started playing this video and I was on my other tab at the same time and I honestly forgot this wasn't M. Shadows singing. This kid sounds that much like him.

He can sing, but understand this fan that is singing is NOT wearing an in ear monitor to listen to the vocals. He is very on key during his screams, and being able to hear yourself without an in ear monitor is truely tough in various arenas, plus crowd noise and music bouncing off the ceiling, walls, and people. I give him props for the effort!!!!! I was a former professional drummer, and I do know about these things....

How do you do it any other way not hurting you voice too bad, im trying to do stuff like this ( screaming )
editedtechno pretty good question, don't try too hard, that's how you get hurt, inhale hurts your voice, you won't feel it, but you'll regreat later, start with some growls at firts, lows and highs, then grunts, lows and a little high, always warm up, do this one day, and rest another, one day, and rest, etc, you'll see how your voice turns raspy, that's when you can try high notes, and eventualy you can scream without hurting too bad your voice, remember NEVER, abuse of your tecnique, that means never make tooooooo high notes
And remember always breath with your stomach and exhale with your diafragm, there are many videos explaining that

editedtechno its fairly easy to scream using your normal voice (not inhale), it just takes some practice and your vocal cords will feel a tad bit weird at first
