Thank you for making this video! I have been quilting for years by hand and am unable to do larger quilts any longer. Decided that it is time to try having the larger ones longarm quilted. I had no idea how to prepare the quilt for the longarmer. I followed all of the instructions on your video right down to how to hang the backing and quilt top on the hanger. The longarm quilter was very impressed. Stated that he wished all of the quilts came into the business in this condition to be quilted. Again, Thank You!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your tips on cutting the threads off and especially the batting information on white batting and warm & natural batting. I was going to use the warm & natural batting but, noticed it changed the color of my top piece .I too had white fabric for my top piece and it would have given off a off- white color. Great information !!!!!!!

I really appreciate that your videos are very thorough, get get right to the point and don't take forever for me to understand the important things. I don't usually
have time for chit chat. This particular video was extremely informative and covered points that I otherwise had to see in three separate ones! Thanks!

Excellent advice. I'm preparing my first big quilt to go to the longarmer, and want it to be as perfect as possible for her.

Love your tips -- showing the actual clipping of the threads and especially the 1/8" stay stitch. I've never seen this before and now that I'm starting on the journey as a longarm quilter, this is an excellent benefit and I will incorporate this request to people bringing me their quilts. Thank you!

Kathleen, I learned that a long time ago and I love doing it to protect my quilt from stretching more! I hope you will like the results!

Thank you so much for this video. I have completed my very first quilt top! I started learning to quilt a year ago in January. I’ve learned a lot in a year. I recently completed the Into the Woods quilt top. I quilted along with Misty Doan from Missouri Star. I just love it and have no idea how to get it ready to send to a quilter. Blessings from Aledo Texas!

Thanks for your detailed instructions. Question: Does the batting also need the added inches to fit the long-arm machine?

Thanks for the helpful tips. I have a lot of white and colours in my quilt top and wondered about trimming all the edge threads and in what order.

Be sure to get any lose threads close to the white fabrics! They will show through! I learned the hard way unfortunately!

You can get the red threads out with a clover soft touch thread pick.
