Such a cool guy. I found his videos when I was trying to learn how to use a miter saw a year or so ago, now I have my own business doing residential repair work.
I'm pretty sure I could listen to Gary Katz talk about his experience with shoes for 2 hours. The guy is a next level communicator and treasure for craftsmen and wanna-be craftsmen like me.
What is funny about this is I’m a carpenter from 17 years old and I’m 53. now I teach as much as I can the younger people lol I always tell them remember the names of the carpenters and pass what you leaned on to someone else and tell them look this carpenter taught me this just pass it on. you really got me wanted to start a podcast so I can grab some of my buddy’s everyday carpenters. to sit down and open up some about everyday jobs thank you some much
I’m very excited to see Gary on your UA-cam Podcast. I’m a long time Finish Carpenter Tv subscriber. Now Im a new Passion for craft subscriber. I look forward to soon becoming a patreon of “passion of craft.” So much gold in this video, I look forward to watching all of your guys videos.
I am so excited to hear that Gary is writing a new book. Especially on mantels. I'll be sure to buy it. there's not a lot of good information out there on good mantel design. Love these podcast!
Another good video, I have used Gary's door hinge squeeze/spread (hope I'm calling by correct terms) technique. I am very interested in the mantel book, I am in the process of redoing my fireplace, and have a general idea of what I think I want but have not figured out proportions, etc.
Gary is a master at breaking complex concepts into small digestible steps. No fluff, straight to the point. Love it!
Absolute legend! Thanks for jumping on the podcast Gary!
Thanks for this podcast. Learnt so much.

Thanks for putting this together!
For all of you, please keep doing this ( not that you would stop ) but it's simply infectious. My desire to learn more has grown because y'all.

You should have Jed Dixon on the podcast. He is a master stair builder and also a friend of Gary's.
