Taking advice from #7 and using my time to watch and listen all the way through and break some of my bad financial habits, Anthony if you really do read the comments I hope you see this one you truly are a inspiration to me seeing a fellow black man with platform to teach financial literacy. I stacked up for some weeks just to blow over 2k in Neimans it's those habits you teach us to break

I noticed that when I cut down on social media that I was able to read one book per month. It makes a difference. I'm more focused on paying cash for everything. I was planning to pay cash for a riding mower this year because I have a large yard. The main electrical panel in my house needs to be replaced so the riding mower is now on my list for next year unless I can make some extra money with side projects.
You're helping to keep me focused on being financially responsible.

I laughed when you said that people who have money, do not want to show you they have money. Buahaha, so true. Our response to everything, "we're broke", it helps deterring people asking us for money. On another note, when I met my husband, we were both forthright that we wanted to be financially stable since we came from unstable homes. It is a positive thing to date, but I (wife) do not expect high dollar dates, I prefer wings :) I actually like when my husband looks for deals. I find that pretty sexy.

This man has uplifted the Black community in so many ways and he did it being him. He doesn't use Conservative talking points to tear down blacks. He's positive and trying to show people ways to income. Instead of just saying he is leading. I am thrilled you exist for our community! I prey you have long health and happiness on this planet! Thank, you for letting me know to pay on my student loans again. There are 42 million Blacks in America there needs to be a least 20 million viewing your material. This is much needed advice.

Oh I have to update still watching yes yes yes. I agree I love our generation but seriously why the need to require a man to spend so much on dates. I’m a professional woman who enjoys a quality not necessarily an expensive life Dates are about experiences getting to know someone: dinner grilling on the rooftop under the stars, walks along the river, picnic at sunset, breakfast at the framers market, art exhibits and coffee, free festivals, bike riding, hiking, fishing golfing basketball scavenger hunts, volunteering…the ideas are limitless. Nothing wrong with a nice dinner but there is no need to waste money when there’s a greater goal.

Great episode AO! I was wondering if you’ve heard of the NACA and how they help people purchase properties without a credit check and without requiring a down payment? • @unspokentenacity
      @unspokentenacity 2 роки тому +2

I have a friend that tried NACA. They applied, but stated that the process was very long. They ended up purchasing a home without using them, but only because of personal reasons. If it’s in your best interest then why not use them. Personally I would still try Dave Ramsey’s approach - 20% down to avoid PMI, 15 year fixed rate mortgage, and payment be no more than 1/4 of your monthly income. GOOD LUCK with everything! Personally mine is 30 year though

I've got a paid off car with 175k miles.
I spent $300 on lower control arms, ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings. (I do the work myself because I can)
My wife was telling me how it's such a waste of money, we need to trade it in for a new car.
I laughed. We haven't had a car payment for 3 years. We save $6k a year by not having a car payment.
So as long as this thing is still running well and the engine and transmission are ok and it's reliable we are putting an extra $6k a year in the bank.
    She is partially right though.
With the used car market being up my car would be worth $12k if it weren't for minor hail damage. (not visible unless you look hard at it)
I might try my hand at paint-less dent repair this summer. Trade it in for $12k off a new car and get my wife the car she wants (pay $12-15k cash).
My local credit union still has car loan rates below 4% with inflation being over 8% I might do that and save the $12-15k.

6/23/22...NEW cars are NOT as well made as the older used cars...like 3-5 yrs old....NOT ENOUGH PARTS + CHIPS TO PRODUCE NEW VEHICLES!
      New cars cost more insurance....
PROBLEMS with new EVs from fires 🔥 to time needed to recharge their batteries.....
WAIT another year or so until VAST IMPROVEMENTS have been made.
      Just sayin'....

When you said lottery tickets, I was like yes! I see so many people waste $600 plus dollars playing that and keep coming back and keep coming back. It's insane how they aren't afraid to dump their money into the lotto and are scared to invest that money to make more money. Also thank you so much for the info about Bethel! I'm over here taking notes!

My idiot mother used to do that and always said "You gotta be in it to win it!"
She died with over $375,000 in debt
So much for being "In it to win it"

Long way to go, but I'm glad the habits of checking my bank accounts and budgets multiple times a day isn't that weird lol
