Even though you're just joking I've had one too many rounds of first aid to stop myself from saying: for knives and bullets the rule is the same - leave it in because if you take it out yourself you're far more likely to bleed to death. The nice thing about bullets is there's no way you'd need to remove it without a medical professional, just stop the bleeding and you can keep it in there for years if you have to and unless it's in a joint or pinching a nerve it's probably not going to hurt you. The not so nice thing is if it's still in you it probably bounced around a lot and made a mess of your insides, so you still probably want to get yourself to a hospital at your earliest convenience 😬
I have an important question. A few years ago I had an accident resulting in my brachial artery right above where it splits into two being cut. I never went to the hospital, I just wrapped it in a shirt real tight. I notice that it’s thicker in the spot where there’s a scar. The artery is thicker not just the scar. Are there any long term effects from this? Should I go get this checked out or can I relax?
I'm not a doctor, so I really have no idea! If you're worried, I would mention it to your primary care doctor (Hopefully you have one! Depending on where you live, I know it's not always easy to access medical care)
