Some people take it a lot more seriously than others do, because they've met people who take joking pedo accusations as serious ones. It's sort of an issue of some people taking something more seriously because they want to avoid other people taking it seriously.
There are these rare people who make it a part of their life to hunt for pedophiles to the point of paranoia where they'll mostly accuse random people while following false evidence like joking accusations or other random leaps of logic, then make death threats and adamantly pursue punishment of those people. Pedophilia is horrible, but that sort of obsession over it is absolutely mental.

you can always tell a server that has had someone actually turn out to be a pedophile when they enforce that kinda rule in my experience, usually an admin or someone high up. I've seen it on 3 servers over the years and they always take things super serious after that
