- Inside Microsoft's Insane Headquarters.
Everyone’s heard about Microsoft, but have you ever thought about where everything happens? Where is its headquarters? What does it look like? Is it just a giant factory with a lot of nerds and machines?
Where should we start? There is so much to talk about. For example? The giant mall inside Microsoft city. The Bill lake. The high five corridors. The maker's garage. Or, the awesome, building eighty seven where all sorts of top-secret projects are under the procedure.
I wonder how many buildings there were at first. I guess we'll never know.
I think they mention this somewhere in the video, but it’s subtle and really easy to miss.

@@SalmanMKC here, king, you dropped this 👑 ….. 🤠🤠🗿🗿
I feel like this video was completely put together by an AI.
Does Microsoft have the best AI in IT industry tho?
Lol, certain choice of words, like ".. and expecting to be as productive as you want to is kind of 'silly'"
@@aminuolawale1843 or "...top-secret projects are under the procedure"
Say 6 building one more time, i dare you!
Things repeated so much. I paused 1 minute in because its so unbearable
Back in the 90s when I worked as a computer support guy, my company sent me to a user group meeting in Bellingham WA. I took the red-eye to Seattle, drove to Bellingham from there and then back home after the meeting. Then I kicked myself for being so stupid as to not think about how close I was to Microsoft's headquarters, and I could have taken an extra day to tour it. Retired now but working on my own freelance business, and this is on my list of things to do.
How do you take a red eye flight to the west coast?
@@BradDietz Uh, from Cleveland. Flight was around 10 pm, they de-iced the wings twice before we took off, and when I got to Seattle the next day, Cleveland (snow-belt area) had been hit by a huge snowstorm. I had just missed it within hours.
It’s not like they are moving anytime soon. Other geeky destinations include Nintendo US HQ, Intel HQ, Amazon and Wizards of the Coast. All in the Seattle area.
I don't think you missed much. It's just a building with cubicles and offices.
Six Buildings is implanted in my brain forever.
You ask where is building 7 like you ask where is Windows 9.
Xavier: how have you been?
xaviiiiieeeeeer
Ohh wow! Window 9 is facing east
Great sunrise view 🌄
I'm your 69th like. You're welcome
Omg 😆
man i loved working at Microsoft as IT support. Free drinks and free seattle's best coffee was a plus. Also, the food was extremely affordable and good quality.
Microsoft looks like they're run by indian CEO with so many indian employees right now.
I wonder if there are White people at all at Microsoft at this point lol
@@norpriest521 Microsoft is 52% white and 23% Asian with a small portion being indian. what are you saying lol?
What do you do in IT Support in Microsoft? Is it desktop support? I would love to do desktop support for a fang company
@@jammel3653 I heard Asian makes money here. Guy I knew was taking a break and went back couple of months already new ride and house.
@@vincentnnyc It was basically help desk for all employees and contractors...we would set up anywhere such as the cafeteria...I was a mobile tech and would go to different campuses in Redmond in Bellevue but we did things like virus removal/PC reimaging to setting up badge IDs....but really anything tech related
0:13 Mall inside "Microsoft City"

Nerds are the modern day magicians, respect.
so they're not fat boys under their moms basements anymore?
@@norpriest521 Yall have Basements?
We demand to be taken seriously
I'm sure that's why they get special training.
Take a shot every time he says 6 buildings
My favourite part was when he said “six buildings”
They were like the home of microsoft
Did you know, they started out with just...six buildings
I work at an Amazon fulfillment center. Sometimes they get mad if you go over 30 minutes, including the time you walk half a mile to the break room, eat lunch, and walk back. They charge you an arm and leg for food. Someone shot themself in the parking lot when they got fired recently. Basically, not as great as the Microsoft headquarters. Also, we only have one building. Not even six!!!
You think Amazon fulfilment centres are bad, wait until you see the conditions for the people who assemble Microsoft's products
The only thing missing are the beds. Work - Play - Sleep - Repeat. NEVER LEAVE!
I love the concept of the High Five Hallway :D :D :D Be nice to someone and give him a high five is aweseome :)
I think there were only 6 buildings...
Be great if you could get online shopping delivered to your desk . Big buildings mean lots of walking. Used to work at Dixons - you had a 15 minute break., it took you 7 minutes to get to the break space, and 7 minutes to get back with 1 minute for a cigarette . One way systems used as a Covid regulation make no sense - if your desk is positioned just after an exit it means you have to work through all the staff's residual air walking round to the exit. Shortest path with wait for path to clear is much better at avoiding social contact or residual breath left on the path.
Having that beautifull site and still 90% of employees would choose remote if possible
You say that until the novelty of it wears off. Everything gets old eventually and you don't know the REAL experience until you work there yourself.
@@C3IAM ive worked on big corporate hq's so please don't assume that I haven't. If im talking about something that means I have experience on it, otherwise I would have not expressed my opinion
Actually, most of it is under construction. They got rid of all the old buildings. The video shows what's going to be there and is computer generated
I'm the 10% I guess
It's so impressive that there were 6 BUILDINGS
If I only had a penny whenever you said nerd in a sentence.
drink a shot every time he says "6 buildings"
Beautiful headquarters! Would love to visit
THANK YOU KAK.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.
Very nice 👍ยอดเยี่ยมมากค่ะ
They got better at naming buildings… immediately moves to ‘Building 92’
Surreal architecture
The entrance should be called the Bill "Gates"
guys do you think there were 6 building originally?
Very informative video.i prefer microsoft over its competitors.thats why I watch this video not videos of Apple and Amazon.
I got a 4.0 for my first data analysing clas. I want to take a following up class from it, if I am really good at it I would love to work for microsoft :)
Interesting. what Data Analysing Class specifically did you take? I'm seeking a career in Data Analysis.
Fun fact: Bill Gates never imagined Microsoft being over 80 employees, because, at the time, computers were used only by corporations or hobbyists.
as a loyal microsoft customer since 1993 (legal since 2015) ive never been tempted to try any apple product and using google just because there is no competing microsoft product
If I'm exhausted and overworked, last thing I'd be wanting to do is go jogging!! LMFAO!!
I'd be finding a bed somewhere and taking a long nap!! LoL!!
Of course I was thinking the whole time between Microsoft and Apple
Apple's HQ looks cooler but this looks much more friendly and comfortable. I would choose Microsoft.
You forgot to mention how many buildings there where initially. Looked it up for you, it was 6. Could’ve mentioned it a couple of times maybe.
LMAO
I've learned that initially there were 6 BUILDINGS, 6
Microsoft camps is so interesting🤩 i really wanna vist Microsoft camps and wanna work there .
The whole video was just the narrator throwing shade at all the " Nerds" 😂
Bro couldn't even be an intern and wants to insult others
Minorities were injured during the making of this video. If you need to find one just look for the word "visitor".
@1:09
@4:58
@5:55
wait how many buildings was there to start with?
What is organisation. Putting things in proper places and different functionary groups and ordering.
Wait, how many buildings did they start with?
Six buildings, crazy how they just started with just six buildings. Today, they have much more buildings, they can house many more employees. Amazing how much they have grown from six buildings.
I Work in building 7 .
Wonderful 💋 Presentation
Yes.good video this.
I am wondering that they are using Microsoft Edge at headquarter or not.
Everybody knows building 7 is Daman's Bar and Grill
🙏🙏🙏🌎🇺🇸 Thank God for the kingdom. Isaiah 9:6
I wonder if they have a custom PC building place...
im now on my 61st application been slammed 60 times so far, im thinking about applying for security and work my way into a dev position.
try getting a referral!!
Drinking game: take a drink every time they say “six buildings.”
…Aaaand you’re dead of alcohol poisoning.
The video showing Bill Gates and PaulAllen jumping into Lake Bill after the launch of Windows 95. It was like the pinnacle of success for the company in those days. The quality was a bit low since vhs was still used.
do they use any MAC at all?
Everyone there would probably feel insulted if you mentioned that.
How many buildings there used to be again?
Ireland is firmly involved in Microsoft so much money spend in Ireland along with other multinationals
And now we know why MS Offfice home edition is unaffordable. I only use opensource office stuff now days.
Yooo love your videos 💙
How many times is the narrator going to mention it used to be only 6 buildings? Yikes. hahah
The couple is...now divorced! Got me
Might as well live there
Sir inside flipkart video sir
Building 7 was building 37, well now there is a building 7 so that story is shot.
The rest is history, quite literally. (Cold❄️)
5:38 those two girls talking about dude for missing a belt loop
numbered building, so familiar to mit students
Me the essay needs a minimum of 5 pages: when there were 6 buildings
Drinking game: Take a shot every time he says nerd or 6 buildings.
Professional Class
I work for Apple and still thought this was pretty cool.
The BILL-dings are numbered interesting..
We want a 15 inch surface pro!
Why all companies have same receptionist???
Wait, how many buildings were there?
and then thinking about why the O365 partially still has Classic UI, yes I do want to see the headquarters
amazing, what about if no piracy of windows, i can't imagine what office looks like
Do the have any dorm for employees???
Nadella
Thats cool
i like the high5 hallway personally for some reason lol
You said minecraft, Im going there now.
There are few things I hate more than suburban corporate campuses. Nobody wants to live in or commute to the suburbs, especially not young tech workers. It got so bad, it's becoming a recruiting hurdle for companies in Silicon Valley, because most people will choose an office in the city if they can.
an apple store in the mall would make this place so much more epic
old hackers just live in their terminals and probably EMACS.
4:44 Mr Gates did what?!
Hi, Microsoft !! I won't upgrade to Wins 11 until you bring back the folder thumbnails in Wins 11
you didn't say "six buildings" enough
there are some images from MS Dublin HQ 🙂
Woah, so many ways to becomme socially and emotionally dependent on your employer! Amazing!
Looks like some college kids did a summer project for design!
🤣
The bigger the building, the more boring it is. Remote work is the future!
OMG I wanna live there.
Is this video script written by an AI? It sounds preatty much identical like one that is.
I have seen companies having a play area in their campuses wherein they have game simulators, ping pong and what not. Do employees have restrictions on how long they can play. And are those free?
I worked at a different company with ping pong tables, etc. They are free, and there's no limit to how long you can play so long as you get your work done. Some tech companies are pretty relaxed on hours worked so long as stuff is being done.
@@ruisen2000 Hey man, thanks for the insight.
@@ruisen2000 "so long as you get your work done" means working up until 2 AM lol.
Nah I'm good.
I used to work for oracle, and they had a good sized arcade room with 6-7 different consoles and all sorts of games, as well as arcade games and such, all were free. Plus the vending machines were free as well.
No limit on how much you could play/eat/drink, though I’m sure if you didn’t get work done, they’d probably restrict you.
WHY WOULD ANYONE GO FOR A JOB WHEN THEY ARE TIRED OR OVERWORK?!
$$$
Sorry, how many buildings were there initially? 😁
Jarvis is that you? Are you with Ultron
Remote work will be reserved for underachievers. Back to office it is!
There things to do rather than stealing beutiful business it is nice to work the business will grow and you will be rich
Take a shot every time the word nerd was said!
Take show whenever narrator says "six buildings"
Let's see Paul Allen Headquarters
I love software and eggs as well.🇺🇸🐻
