    If you are a value conscious buyer shopping in this segment, there is no way around the 911 Turbo. prices for the oldest generations have been proven to be resilient to the market correction in the second half of 2022 and also remained stable during last year. However, it’s the depreciation rate for newer generations that really impress. On average, 991s and 992s lost between 4 an 5%. Brand new cars lost a bit more, but overall these are still impressive rates that are lower than for any of its competitors.

    Awesome I will still take my 2017 991.2 with a cobb tune. Smokes an old turbo. Won't appreciate like it but I can drive it and has all of the modern stuff. I like the old stuff to collect, but the newer stuff is way better to drive. I am on my 13th Porsche in 43 years of ownership. His analysis is awesome.

    Great job as usual. I have a 997.1 turbo and 996 RUF Rturbo 550 love them. I have other 911s, TT vettes, viper, evo8, maserati gt sport, m4 and suvs. The 911 turbos are by far the easiest to drive and best to mod and you get a good spot at the valet.😊

      GT3 is a fun car but it’s waaay overpriced and I can’t use it everyday. The Turbo S I can take my kids in it or run to the groceries and that’s why we find high mileages for the Turbos and low mileage from the GT3. That being said, I’d love to own both at the same time.

    I love my 991.2 Turbo! I feel like there isn’t another car out there that I could get that would have this type of performance for this price and be as reliable. I don’t care what the price is, I plan on keeping it long term.

      I have the 991.2 GT3. I think these are the last real quality built 911s. I have an insider at a dealership who says the 992 is built using much cheaper materials in the interior.
      Which is weird because there’s a huge price jump between 991.2 and the 992. In GT3 world there was a $20,000 price increase from my 2004 996 GT3 to my 2018 991.2 GT3.
      There’s double that between the 991.2 to 992 GT3 $40,000 difference
      My dream is to keep my GT3 and get a 991.2 turbo in silver over red leather

      @@jimsteinway695 I live at nearly a mile high elevation so a Turbo was my only option. The GT3s are super cool but an NA engine suffers out here. I have heard that the 992s are not built with as high quality parts before as well. Mine is Agate Grey with the blue interior. If I was building one from the beginning I would have chose Miami Blue with black though haha

      What do you think about getting a Turbo vs the Turbo S?

    • @TexasRealEstate
      @TexasRealEstate 2 місяці тому

      @@stanlee3619 All else equal, I'd definitely go for the Turbo S for the extra boost / power. That being said, a comparable Turbo S to the Turbo I got would have likely been a $15-20k premium - best case scenario. I really liked the Spec on the Turbo I found, it's a high option car including the sport chrono package & center lock wheels, a clean 1-owner history & at the time of my purchase, was the lowest priced, clean history 991 Turbo available in the U.S. You can't go wrong with the right car, spec & deal either way, as long as it's what you want.

      Mate no one measures non-financial assets in adjusted terms. That would be ridiculous. Cars are not an investments, they assets that are consumed for transportation, work, pleasure, or a combination of these factores and therefore should not be discussed relative to inflation.

      @@SignalCorps1 if you are looking at trends of any asset you need to look at it in nominal and real terms. A car that is 5% more expensive than three years ago is actually cheaper in real terms. Yes, these are depreciating assets but I presume we’d want to maximize what we spend.
