Are you sure you got the orchestra right? Everywhere I look, the orchestra is listed as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, not the Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México. The soloists and the conductor are both correct.

The ultimate antidote to depression Villa-Lobos! Was in deep despair when I stumbled upon these recordings and here I am 10 hours later listening again to the entire video full of joy and hope. Utterly magnificent!

My Grandmother learned from this guy. I have one of her study books with a little dedication from him. I'm teaching myself to read music at 45, and play some of the guitar Choros De Villa-Lobos bequeathed to me by her... it's no picnic, and a little bit sad...
