Honorable mention is the complex twist and low fat minnow. River fishing with a sink tip, stillwater fishing, I even swing em for steelhead here in California.
I learned about Chuck Kraft's Kreelex during COVID-19. This pattern has become my goto pattern for smallmouth, largemouth, shellcrackers, and perch in the traditional gold and silver. I have tied the Kreelex also in the Electric Chicken color scheme and have caught speckled sea trout, flounder, and redfish. The Kreelex is a fish catching machine.
The Dungeon is a fly you absolutely want in lure box in New Zealand! I've trip some big brownies in place people would never have expected with that fly, when "traditional" lures would have just been ignored. Kelley Galloup gave us a monster when he tied this fly! Olive with a yellow body!
Great list. I think Cheech is being humble because the Flugenzombie or Mongrel Meat routinely catch the biggest fish every year for me. My PB smallie, brownie, rainbow, and hybrid have come off the MM.
Never heard of the Kreelex !! Simplistic at its very best , im sure it will work brilliant in the saltwater here in Scotland for the sea trout so I'll certainly be tying some up for next season.. cheers for that 👍 🎣
The kreelex is one many people don’t fish. Personally I fish them a lot but the way I tie and sell them is I put all of mine on jig hooks. George daniels showed me that a few years ago and I can’t tie a normal kreelex now
Tell you what I'm old school, and you cannot beat the Royal Coachman. That's been my go-to fly for many years.
Woolley bugger in a couple of colors.

The kreelex is often an overlooked fly but they are so effective and easy to tie, thanks for the video Cheech

There are also so many ways to tweak a Clouser. Dredge it down deep!

Are they any good in the saltwater mate ?
@@BB1872 I’m sure they would work for sure. Just tie them on a salt water hook and you should be good
Nicely done. Streamers talk in streamer season. Solid game
Man. You have been going hard the last few weeks. Maybe come to one of our marketing meetings to teach us how to do it 😬😬😬
But… there is no such thing as streamer season. Unless you are talking spring time when all the big fish are healthy and moving.
R.I.P. Chuck Kraft and Dave Whitlock, true innovators.
Still pretty new to fly fishing. Maybe a video of how you set that leader up that you described at the end. I would be interested to watch that
Thanks 🎉 CHEECH - ARONI !!!!!
✨🎣💫
Does this mean u have the sparkle back in stock …. 🤔
John Barr’s SlumpBuster !!!! Most versatile streamer of all time!!
👍
You are forgetting my number one non articulated streamer. The Drunk Drea. Its definitely my go to. And its litte brother Banda lechuga.
It’s my number one by far. This list is for flies that you can either tie or buy.
