Or you could create the unmerged extrusions of the sketches, once aligned, in a few seconds and extend them out an arbitrarily long amount, then use the boolean interference function on all the extrusions to have your fully formed object.

what happens if on a face you have metric holes? how do u make it recognize them?
solid works asks for fully defined sketch after importing the 2d sketches !any ideas ..? thanks
Cadcast, Rewatch your video. On the side profile cut, you accidently added a small line. That's why the tool tried to force the thin feature.
Nice video !!
Maybe using what difficulties we encountered here would prompt us to be better prepared with our drawings.
i only have autocad 2009, can it works?
Even though I used object snap in my 2D drawing it still comes in with gray colouur in solidworks.Anyone knows how to fix that?Thnx in advance
Better to do the solid in SW, and do not complicate your life !
Thank you for the information, but it's better to learn how to do directly in SW
Thanks!
Hi cadcast, can you send me a link to that autocad file for practice?

I wish its get work
idk dude i'd rather just re-make the model and it would be 10 times faster. If you have 2d you know the dimensions anyway.
Great video!
F*ck yo mic tho...
