SOp with Samsung products is to buy them used after a few months at the expense of losing freebies. The A55 is still sold for over $400+ in my area but the used market price is sometimes cheaper than $300. If buyers know where to look at. This thing, sadly, is just $50 cheaper than my Poco X6 Pro.
I have the A15, 4 GB ram and 128 GB storage + 1 TB SD card. My experience is not that the 4 GB version is sluggish, it's very fast actually. I have an A55 as my main phone (8 GB ram and 256 GB storage + 1 TB SD card) and there is a difference - of course - but it's not night and day. The camera on my A15 produces beautifully sharp, natural, vibrant pictures. Edit: I bought my A15 on sale here in Sweden for $155, a great price for this phone.
Finally i found a Galaxy A16 5G unboxing video ive been looking all over for one. Gonna either get this phone or a Motorola phone. But the Galaxy A16 5G hasnt launched in the US yet. They said the Galaxy A16 5G will be in the US beginning of next year.

I'm new to smartphones and I got an older A series for cheap. I'm glad I lucked out and got one with headphone jack and fingerprint sensor. I could've easily made a mistake and gotten one without jack and still paid more!
I don't understand why Samsung is removing headphone jacks from budget segment devices, it will cost around 20k in my country which is more than it's actual value. People who buy this have to pay extra amounts for the headphone adapter which makes them think about the other devices that comes in the same price range with a dedicated headphone jack.

Nah I don't think most care about OS updates.. the CPU and camera definitely is much better than on the a15 I had... Again in real life you can actually see clear improvement. The cameras on a15 were dreadful... Maybe only If you check online specs there isnt any difference...

I was excited about this phone but disappointed when I saw the specs. Honestly, I'm considering going for the A15 by Black Friday because it will likely be cheaper. And as you point out, that phone is far from ideal. I will have to think.

Good phone. Not worth the starting price. I'd wait until it drops to below $180. 8GB RAM version of course, anything less than 8GB RAM is not worth the time of day.
Look compact and simple. This is cool, for budget phone. It have 3 different function (real camera), High, Wide and macro. This is enough for daily usage. FHD and 800 nits.. is enough for indoor.

you will be super lucky to get A35 for the same price as A16. In my place A35 is 350+ Euro, while A16 - 230 Euro.

A15 and A16 are almost identical, including quality of photo and video. Optical stabilization is used in much more expensive smartphones.
