Don't rely too much about this job as your career. In the ESL world, every day could be your last day. Foreign learners are free to convey their feedbacks to the management and if you are not pleasing enough for them, you will be sacked right off the bat! Most complaints, in my opinion are more like intensified by racial prejudice against Filipino tutors as justified like " I don't like my teacher because she/he has Filipino accent blah blah blah". Koreans and Chinese nationals are the most demanding and entitled learners hence, they complain a lot. Most management have no choice but to give these learners the benefit of the doubt.
Yes, you might be right, but let's (just for a minute) think about the vast possibilities of teaching English to learners that are NOT Chinese or Korean. :) If it has to be Asia, why not consider Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia? Why not think about Europe like Spain and Poland. And as I remember, South America is also a good point to start. Korea is overrated, really. And China is difficult, especially due to covid and new regulations. Yes, you won't get rich being a teacher, in these countries, but if you want to make big money, believe this profession won't be the right for you, anyways.
@@evebrown7977 Cambodia might be a better choice as what my american friend said. Vietnam has records of unscrupulous law breaking academies thus not on my list. I once taught Turkish, few Spanish and even Russians yet so far feedback were better than entitled East Asians. I wonder why.
@@breatheliveandthrive7404 Might be the reason that these 'Asians' who attend private school are spoiled little rich brats? Just an idea because I do not know why. All I wanted to say is that there are other options than Korea and China.
I am Korean. I agree with you in part. However, many Koreans are learning English happily from Filipinos. Let's think. If an Arab wants to learn Tagalog, would he want to learn from a Filipino, or from an American who can speak Tagalog? Generally, he will choose Filipinos. But he could choose an American, who could teach him better.
@@baehongkim952 Terrible analogy. Few to no American in their right mind would bother to teach Tagalog, as it is not a profitable language to teach. I've met Arabs and they will always learn English first, no matter who the teacher is. "Let's think" you said, incredibly ironic. Like you have any right to speak on behalf of any Arab.
I have the same experience with Cambly.. sabi daw it will take 3-7 business days until I get an email confirmation. But it's almost a week and still no reply. tysm for the info, now I know I shouldn't expect much sa Cambly whaahha

Hi. Pano po ba if mag apply sa same industry but different company, Will that be okay po? As long as you are not connected with your current employer? Hope you'll answer this ☺️ Thankyou
Hi! I know you will agree that for some companies, it is a breach of contract if you will engage to another company but for me, If they dont give you enough students or you need more income then just go for it. At the end of the day, we just all want to serve something good on our tables. I am rooting for you! ❤
