Can’t wait to see the Aurora Cabin shawl. The peacock colours sound terrific. I’m with you on frogging what doesn’t work.

Your night shift shawl is beautiful! I'm currently working on Andrea's inclinations shawl and the color fade is pretty cool.
I enjoy seeing all your wips and finished projects. You inspire !

I love that shawl! It was a hard choice for me between that one and the Nightshift. And then she came out with the Attune shawl and I was REALLY conflicted lol. She makes so many beautiful patterns it's hard to choose!! I'm glad you're enjoying your colors in your Inclinations :)

I love your Spark Cardigan so far! That Chroma Twist is gorgeous, the colors are stunning. I hadn't seen that yarn before, so thanks for introducing me to it!

I'm glad to spread the word! It's been pretty great so far. I'll be interested to see how it holds up over time.

Try a shawl pin for your night shift to keep it in place? It’s gorgeous!! Can’t wait to cast mine on, I’m spinning the yarn for it now 😊

Good idea! I tried a chopstick and it worked great lol. I'll have to pick up a real shawl pin at one of the festivals this spring.

I get it about ripping out what you don’t love. However, I decided to persist with a Winter Lights that I wasn’t loving at the beginning and now it’s my most worn shawl! Maybe put the project aside for a bit…..😊 11:21 11:21

That’s such a pretty pattern! Sometimes I start a second version of the same project to see which one I like better and go from there. It’s crazy how much color can change a project!

I think your shawl is really pretty! But you have to make what you like!!!

So true! I just think I wouldn't find myself reaching for those colors in my closet, so on to the next color palette!

Love your changes to the big cozy cardi! Would you share the yarn and needle changes you made? I have that pattern and I'm scared about stating it because it would take forever. Thanks!!

It really does take forever lol. I changed to a size 6 US needle and used two strands of Palette (from KnitPicks or WeCrochet) held together. It's a great budget 100% wool yarn and they have a ton of colors to choose from!

@@bluemountainmakes thank you so much! I love your podcast! I used to live near you but now I'm out in Olympia Washington! In search of knitting friends. 🙂

I frog stuff I’m not loving all the time! In fact, I just “finished” a blanket pattern that I just decided would be done. I don’t understand the reticence to frog when you’re not in love with the knit. Yarn is expensive and knitting takes time-both together means you should enjoy it!

    • @bluemountainmakes

Exactly!! I think people can get hung up on the time they spent on it but I enjoy knitting so in my mind it was time spent doing something I love and after I frog I'll be spending even more time doing what I love lol.

@@bluemountainmakes exactly. And it’s not like woodworking, where you’ve cut the wood and made holes that can’t be undone and made into something else. Yarn is much more forgiving.

Sorry, I was a vet assistant and I'd advise you might suggest to get to try different antibiotics, or add probiotics to her food if she has a meal without them. Ideally I'd see a different vet. I'm sorry to hear this. 💜 (Btw your knits are beautiful. Might you use a shawl pin for the night shift?)

We're on our third vet at this point lol. Everyone seems really bewildered but her hematoma was huge and popped up so quickly they're now thinking there's a good chance when it finally heals up she'll just end up with another hematoma. Back to square one at that point lol.
Thanks for the advice - I appreciate you thinking about us!

Hello, I am a new subscriber and I'm partially deaf, is it possible for you to add closed captions to your channel so I can have subtitles to fully enjoy your lovely podcast please? Your shawl is wonderful, so bright and cheerful, I love it.

Thank you! I checked the video and it does have auto subtitles enabled so the bot will translate to English CC. I'm not sure how long that takes for UA-cam to process but it looks like they're working now!

I'm glad you are ripping out what you don't like. There is no reason to continue knitting if you are unhappy with it! I've got to find the perfect sweater to knit for the KAL.

It's almost harder to decide when the only requirement is "pullover." There are so many great patterns out there it's hard to choose!

The colors in your shawl look great on you. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos, I enjoy them. Following is a link you might find helpful…In this video at about 18:43 she shows the traveling magic loop method; I’ve found this really helpful for getting even tension especially for colorwork on small circumference. m.ua-cam.com/video/GLdaxC6nzPk/v-deo.html

Thank you! That's awesome :) I'll definitely be giving that a try next time I'm doing a colorwork sleeve!
