Meanwhile, with the original version, I did not feel the same way at all.

The lyrics literally say, "If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy? If our love's insanity, then why are you my clarity?" Saying that a cover of this is "clear" or "relaxed" means that the song has been completely changed and the original intent has been lost.

She fucking rocked this song, and I'm sure the other two songs the groups sang but weren't included in the episode were amazing as well. Let's face it, New Directions should have lost to them. This girl's voice is breath taking.

well as for me ...she did justice to the song...she nailed it...honestly my son mixes songs...and this one he mixed last January for the Sinulog festival it was great ...the original was played in our house many times...but this one is so AMAZINGLY done awesome...i think my ears are clean..lol
i think foxes gives an innocent feeling of romance when she sings this, while jessica sanchez gives the impression of a power struggle in a romance, maybe due to her powerful voice and the great backup singers. both of them are great nonetheless
