The Punisher is just one of those shows where you're like "My god, I wish I could forget about it and rewatch it again".
but I forgot it the momment I finished it like luke cage iron fist and the defenders
This is DEFINITELY the best rip off of "In the house in a heartbeat" from 28 days later for sure, even better than the original i'd say. I mean the "big daddy death" 28 days rip off soundtrack from Kick Ass is goOod an all but I think I prefer the "different swords" 28 days rip off soundtrack from Spartacus Blood and Sand to that :S Which is your favourite??

This is when Frank finally let's go of his family, and fully becomes the Punisher. This should be his main theme song.

This scene where he is tortured and escapes and this song gets louder. Gives you chills. Absolutely perfect marvel show.
The way the song rises slowly throughout the scene, and how it finally peaks when he stands up, this was the best filmed scene since the HALO Drop in Godzilla

man this song really helped me at one point a couple years back. I was a freshman in college, and i didnt really have anyone close to me at the time, with the exception of my immediate family back home. Long story short i had a severe panic attack one night from stress, loneliness, and i guess some kind of existential angst. For about 2 months following this, i became agoraphobic, and doing *anything* terrified me. I didnt know why i was having this anxiety (and as a result, depression). I came to mentality of "whats the point in living if all i do is live in constant terror and fear?" But i heard this song having watched the show, and idk it dawned on me that is was a matter of overcoming fear and not devaluing life because its hard. So wherever i walked, i listened to just this song on repeat for basically 2 months, nothing else. And idk, it filled me with courage to just keep going no matter what. This song probably saved my ass, and im glad i had it at the time
I doubt anyone will read this but i thought i might share it anyway
Glad you’re doing well bud! Kind of had a similar experience with my anxiety kicking into high gear that I couldn’t control it and this show and this song gave me like an energy boost that calmed me but at the same time gave me strength to control it.
@@decd thanks man, i'm doing great nowadays! I will graduate with two degrees, Econ & Math, and Psychology, next spring. Soon after I will be commissioning as an officer in the Marine Corps. I am very thankful for how things have turned out. Thank you for your kind words

Felt so so bad for him. But at the same time I wanted him to kill them all.
It's sad that he was looking for Maria after it was all over... He had his vengeance, but in the end his family is still dead and they always will be :(
This is one of the best marvel series that netflix has made
Spikey OK i know but i dont want people complaining and arguing in the comment section
That moment... that fucking moment when he lets go of his wife's hand and says "I am home". That is the most quintessential Punisher line ever uttered. Just as Hugh Jackman is Logan and Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark, Jon Bernthal is Frank Castle. Can't wait for Season 2!!!
I just hate his nose, great actor though despite the odd and seemingly pointless complaint of mine
@Felobrendon Want to know why his nose is like that? He was a boxer before he became an actor and broke his nose twice from two different matches. Hopefully that little nugget of info just added to the badassery that is Jon Bernthal.
If only Rawlins could see how much love this show is getting. Russo couldn't face the fact that Frank will always be better than him. And Lewis was simply blown away by this song.
This was the moment I forgot everything about the Punisher in the comics, in the films, and in the animated cartoons. This was the moment that I knew that Joe Bernthal's portrayal of the character was THE Punisher.
Anyone can do savage or brutal act, but no one ever overcome pain tolerance and unstable minds(as a soldier)...and here is Jon. Thats why I love his work
@IDHLEB punisher Max's relationship with his family was much different and more of a hateful relationship because of his obsession with war.
@@Aus200 and what are Marines, lol. Soldier is a blanket word, nobody cares what type you were.
To be honest. I don't think the story or backstory of any Marvel or DC hero, villain, anti-hero or vigilante will never hit me as hard as Frank Castle's, the Punisher. His story is just so sad...Too sad to put in words because I don't want to spoil anyone who just got here by recommendations and want to watch it still.
Same here... The Punisher's story is just so damn good, I can't get over it. I wish all things could be like that..
I think because out of all these other comics, Franks is the most believably plausible.
Iris Heart/Plutia Same for me, but not just the superhero movie/books, but out of all fiction.
He is second only to Darth Vader for me, in terms of the most dark, badass, tragic characters to ever exist.
PrimalTheEmperor (primal9000) Idk, to me, maul is just a bloodthirsty, power hungry, bad guy on a revenge trip.
Sure he was used. But he also used others just as he was, if not worse.
He was a villain with no good inside him. While Vader was a villain with a lot of good(Anakin) in him.
This is the only Marvel character I can relate to. He is human, has human strength (even it sometimes seem superhuman) suffers from human emotions and reacts sympathetic and realistic. Jon bernthal did a hell of a good job by playing the punisher.
@@anonymousperson3596 he literally has superpowers though. Can you hear heartbeats from miles away and smell chemicals substances from objects and tell them apart? 😂

Jon Bernthal is THE DEFINITIVE Punisher. Nobody will ever fit the role as well he does. Performance was so good that I often catch myself calling him Frank Castle and not his real name. Too good man, toooooo good.
I'm no Marine, but I gotta say it: Semper Fi, Frank.
This, IMO, is where Frank died and the Punisher was truly unchained.
Max Frankow this is where the punisher said fuck you to all morals and went to business especially when he let go of Mariah’s hand and mangled Billy’s face. I mean damn
The moment a man chooses war over peace. To choose damnation over salvation. To choose to walk into the abyss and say "I am home." That is the moment a man ceases and the demon is born.
the episode which made all of us think how garbage other tv shows are compared to The Punisher!!!
I don’t think the show as a whole was too brilliant, but the ending by itself made it one of my favourites
The Avengers avenge
The Defenders defend
*But the Punisher punishes*
Season 2 was great but it misses a powerfull scene like this one. There are cool moments but this one was one of the most emotional scenes in any series ever.
Michał Horszczaruk Totally agree. TV shows don’t usually make me that emotional, but damn does this one succeed
I am currently at episode 9 of season 2 and so far it is kind of a led down compared to season 1. The girl is annoying and I don't feel the unspeakable hate towards the priest as I felt towards Agent Orange. I really liked the stand off at the police station although a bit annoyed that so much gun fire didn't attract any law enforcement.
Season 1 was perfect but season 2 seems to be dragging along without any characters I would give a shit about although it has its moments.
Just finished season 2 and it's nowhere near the quality of Season 1. Also, there were certain themes that were seemed to forced down on the audience. Season 1 was fire
Best scene of the whole series and there were alot of great ones but i think i got a little chub when Agent Orange finally got what he deserved. Also the actor deserves an emmy for his role of the punisher. Goddamn
Lenny Smith agent orange actor was scary real and clearly got an erection during his shit
John bernthal plays Frank castle, he's notably rememberd from playing Shane in the walking dead (seasons 1-2) he also had a good supporting role in FURY
I wish I could have met Shane and obviously the actor playing Billy should have gotten an Emmy .
Those screams when Frank rubs his face on broken glass was so real .
i'm a reminder.
chris rucker i thought this serie was enough violent compare to the season 2 of dardevil but the Last tow episodes is fabulous! 😍
Why would Daredevil be as violent? Punisher wasn't always wreaking havoc on "dirty criminals", (he was in court, but made up by murdering 20 prisoners,). Also this show was about Punisher killing the ones directly responsible for his family's death, and how his anger causes more violence rather than a cold shooting, so in a way, it's a no brainer.
That sentence " You're one bad day away from being me" is stuck in my mind..
This song is pure violence played on the devil’s guitar

"I'm a reminder". When Frank said that, I can't help to think that of course he's talking to Rawlins, but for me th message is also for all of us. He is a reminder of what you can do when your world is falling apart. Of course Castle is on a rampage, is a murderer, but think of it one second. The only time we see him peacefull was in his souvenirs, with his family. He was at peace, I was Home. But this was taken away from him. So he did what everyone will want in this situation: Justice. Justice for his family.
Many Marvel's Fans and character think frank castle is insane, but for me I can't help to see him as a victim. The worst part is when everyone you love is gone, and you are still here. If innocent can be kill like his family, why giving a chance to criminals to be judge and life in prison? I know I know I am of the hook but I kind of understand frank's motivation.
l also would loose my shit lf my family gets murdered right infront of me...
ikr, imagine losing all ur loved ones, rage and revenge are going to be ur only way out
Sorry to say this but your whole message is wrong, Maxime. He says "I'm a reminder, ALL. MEN. DIE." So the reminder is that no ones is safe from him
"Lisa would be 37 now, Frank jr would be 33. You and Maria might be grandparents. But you arent and you never will be, because they arent coming back no matter what you do. I helped you all those years because my son was murdered. The *Randomness* of that, the way evil struck so *Casually,* then carried on its merry way-- i wanted to do whatever i could so others wouldnt have to face that pointless horror. But crime never ends. It claims its victims, accidental or intended, and as long as people want the things the law forbids them having, nothing you or I or anyone can do will make a difference. Thats why i had to walk away... because you know all that and yet you do what you do anyway. You kill because you like it, Frank.
Maybe it was in you all along, but... i believe you got a taste for it in Vietnam. I know all about that scout sniper work on your second tour. I know *Something* happened on your third. You see, i believe some...Darkness... reached out to you, Frank. And i believe you told it yes. After that, all it would take was a catastrophe of some kind, just to drive you over the edge. And now you use your family as an excuse for something Dreadful...
..I think i know why you told me about Bob Garrett, the guy who abandoned his family soon after your lost yours. But im not so sure that you do. You gave him a beating for running out on his wife, but that's not you. That has nothing to do with what you are now. Maybe, in the time after you lost your family, you felt that darkness again: whatever it was you gave into, back in Vietnam. Maybe it confused you and lashed out. Later you became what you became, but that night all you did was lose control. Is that what that story means Frank? Was there a time you werent so certain yourself, that your life wasn't a foregone conclusion? Could you have chosen not to be The Punisher? Do you go to that grave once a year to *Apologize* to Lisa, and Maria, and Frank Jr, because you chose to use their deaths for something *Dreadful?...* "

Yeah, first arc of Punisher MAX by Garth Ennis. Easily sums up Frank as a whole.
The Punisher was so beautifully done. I need to see John Wick, Logan, and Frank cross paths. Not only would it be action packed and bloody but it’d be a great story of 3 broken men with the passion to fight for what’s right even when it breaks their spirits as people.
This was SUCH a phenominal scene. after everything he's been through, missing his family... he CHOSE revenge and bloodlust over them. Such a powerful moment.
I used to rate Marvel TV shows from Inhumans to Daredevil...

No words, yet some much meaning to this song.. "Im home"
As a veteran of the Army, this scene and the music along with it give a sense of acknowledgement to the side of us all that is experienced in that situation. Its like a valve is released. Everything you are, good and bad is released. You don't understand it at the time. You think you're evil for it. I did. Until you realize that it's pure survival instinct coming through the lens of your character spilling out of you. It you and it's programming at the same time. This series was a small bit of healing for me in that I don't feel so alien anymore. His last scene of the season gave credence to that for me.

I swear one of my favorite parts from the show was when Franks said
"I am home"
What i really love about this song is that there are no vocals, the instruments are the lyrics, every string pulled, every hit on the drum, you can hear frank castles pain and feel the darkness that he indulges in covering you like a wet blanket
Lets all demonstrate for a 3rd Season!! We want Frank back!
Like who goes with me.
Ok look, They got even the second season good. But they can't do all the seasons we want. Because the more we would go on the more it would become worse. So second season luckly wasn't ruined but third one could be.
I've always liked the motif they gave The Punisher from the Thomas Jane movie; the theme that place during the intro and all. But this and the rest of the music so far just works so damned well. Effort, honest to God effort has gone into this.
I can see what micro was talking about in the Punisher Max series, about how Frank turned from being a man out for revenge into something else, something more terrifying. You can see it in how the original guitar theme is slowly drowned out by the electric guitar.

What a song, just pure....emotion
I just finished watching the first season. I am almost pained. OH MY GODS that was so feckin' good.
What an awesome track & series. Anyone else think Jon Bernthal could play an awesome Max Payne?
True, probably too similar. Shame cause Jon would knock that role out of the park. I'd love to see a Netflix series of Max Payne though!
I think Jensen Ackles could nail a good Max Payne as well. People want him to be the Red Hood in the D.C. Universe
The Herald Of Netflix Well he was the Red Hood in the DC animated movie "Batman: Behind the Red Hood" so I guess it makes sense. When it comes to Payne I think he belongs in the realm of video games. I don't think a movie could do him justice.
It reminds me 28 Days Later.
But man, the 12th episode... I was speechless, it was really strong. The music, the Frank's memories, the whole situation, I was done, it was so intense. Dont get me wrong, I love this show... but honestly, all the 10 previous episodes (1th one is exception) were kind of 'peaceful'. And then the 12th episode come and its just absolutelly another dimension, same like in Kick-Ass (the whole movie is kind of comedy, but then the torture scene come).
The Punisher is really piece of art, its like a big movie which is better and better with every episode - the beginning is kind of slow, but then you will be even more impressed with every new episode.
Great story, great character, great Jon Bernthal!!!
I watch this show once per year. It's still the most perfect. (With Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul)

his daughter's favorite thing to read with him before bedtime, before he headed out to the war, and even after his time as a marine ended, it was still the poem she wanted him to read when he came back. Castle reciting it as part of her memory, as well to remind himself why he is killing the person before him: to avenge her life.
“I killed them all. I got my revenge. And then...I kept going. I don’t know at exactly what point I first became what it is that I am now. Maybe it was Vietnam. Maybe that day in the park. Or maybe I’d been that way all along. All I know is, once I finally embraced it, I quickly realized...I was never going to stop.”

I think that when Maria was telling frank “let’s go home”. The embodiment of justice
When I started watching Daredevil S2, I hated Punisher and wanted Dd to end him. But, apart from the sad backstory that they gave him, Bernthal’s brilliance made me fall in love with him. The best marvel tv series and would love to see him on Mcu.
