- Daytime temperatures are now in the 50's (Fahrenheit) and at night, it is dropping to the high 30F. It is getting much too cold for many of my cacti so it is time to get cleaning and moving.

Well done on moving your cacti into the greenhouse for the Winter Ana :-D its a lot of work getting the greenhouse all prepared and moving the plants but its so wonderful when its all done and then you can relax with a nice cup of coffee haha, I still have all my taller Trichocereus cacti to move back into the polytunnel this week, and its going to be such a relief once its all done, I think we need a Winter rest like our cacti to recover haha, thanks so much for sharing this awesome video Ana, and Hans and I are sending you lots of love and happiness and CAFFEINE and PLANT POWER to Las Vegas for a super Sunday today XXXX

I really want to have a large amount of cacti in the future, at the moment though, that'd be difficult because I still live with my parents and we do not have a greenhouse, all I've got is my room as nothing else. If you have a slab of cement under the floor it will heat the greenhouse better than insulation or flooring materials because it is a source of heat.

You know Ana, I was thinking, just in theory, I wonder, wouldn't the larger bubbles have more air space to warm up and store heat in the sun? 🤔hmmm, very curious!! Good job guys!!! Great clean up!!! The only difference that I see now is that the larger bubbles wrap are thicker and they make my greenhouse looks smaller. Haha. 😊 Yes, you should try this Windex. No scrubbing needed. Just attach it to a house and spray on! This is how I’m able to clean the 2nd floor windows. Leaves the windows clean with no water marks.
You ever thought of keeping your plants outside all year around. I honestly think it won't effect them much
I am keeping many of them out especially the big and tall ones. But I’m protecting the younger ones and those cacti that can’t handle a freeze. In previous years, while some survived winter outside, they developed cold damage marks on their skin. We also get some rain and light snow and it would be tedious to be covering them all up. In the future as they mature, I’m sure I can leave more cacti out for the winter. 😊

San Pedro cactus is cold hardy ?
Yes they are when kept dry. But I would cover the growing top. The tips (new growth) are more sensitive to cold.

I have a rebutia heliosa sunrise, which recently had some black spots. Like honey or some liquid. Thought i checked out the roots and they are healthy. Is it maybe caused to stress or what
Our night temperatures only drop for like 10 or 9 celsius. Should i overwinter my cacti? And will my rebutia be okay? . (20 celsius in the day)
Some cacti secrete black liquid when they are stressed. It is sometimes due to sudden changes in its environment. Normally, Rebutia can easily tolerate 10C when kept dry. If the black spots don’t stop, you may consider moving and protecting your Rebutia. Good luck!
I love your cactus racks Anna, are they from Ikea? Here in the Philippines we finally have an Ikea branch, so I have been shopping for racks for my cacti.
They are from Amazon Basics. I have the same racks smaller and black. (I'm from Germany)
@Maria, the tallest rack under the roof vent and the narrow silver rack that I moved in last inside the greenhouse are from IKEA. 😃 The rest are Amazon orders. 👍🏼

Anna do you keep any cacti inside your home, and if so could you share any tips for winter care for those when it comes to light & water?
I only have a few seedlings inside by a window. I do not have space for many plants inside. But I use my garage to overwinter plants, too. I have growlights in the garage. I discussed my winter setup in my previous videos. Thank you for reminding me. I should create a playlist so its easier to find them. 🙂👍🏼
