I am Latina and have grown up watching Jorge Ramos on tv. I'm very happy to watch him on Chelsea lately. That's why I love her show! She's always brought guest that other shows don't necessarily first pick

Lori Lanx I knew about Jorge Ramos because I was learning Spanish and I would turn on Univision a lot. I think he became known by mainstream America because of what happened in the press conference room, the media outlets made him famous in a way by covering the incident!
Perhaps if Latinos were as vocal in Mexico about their rights they would have a better country that they would want to live in. Straight forward, you people have fucked up your country don't fuck up mine!

Well, at least in Mexico and a lot of countries in Latin America, we don't use race to classify citizens. Government, School, or job applications don't require you to write what your race or ethnicity is. Of course, there are white, black, asian, and 100% native Mexicans, but we don't use race in politics or in everyday life like it is used in the US. It is obvious when you see a person, you notice different tones of skin, but you never think of them like he's different from you. They are just Mexican, regardless of what the color of their skin is. So yeah, maybe you're right. I guess you are not white anymore because they don't see you as white or black. They'd call you "guerito", "negrito", "morenito", but that doesn't describe a race, it only describes a skin tone.

Aimée de la Rosa unfortunately there was a dark period in Mexico's history where we tried to assimilate Natives to mainstream society. As one might imagine with things like this, a lot of hate was born out of it, from both sides, and it even became violent. To this day, some of that hate can be seen in some indigenous colonies, who flat out refuse the government.

There are a few undocumented immigrants in Canada but it has never been an issue. However, the immigration process is relatively straightforward. I have lived in Canada for about one third of my life and I am proud to call it home.

Trump is not against legal immigration. He is against illegal immigration. He is also in favor of law and order. Having a border is the right of any nation. More than 40 countries have physical border (fence, wall, etc.), including Israel, Pakistan, India, Morocco, Algeria, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Saudia Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Kenya, Somalia, Bangladesh, Greece, Spain, Hungry, Croatia, Serbia, among others. Ironically, Even mexico, the country Jorge ramos is from, has a border wall on it's southern border with Guatemala. So this is hypocrisy. Jorge Ramos is a socialist, open border activist who is a hypocrite because he accuses Trump, while he never says anything about Mexico even though Mexico has a border with Guatemala, and Mexico also deports thousands of central americans every year. The USA still welcomes more immigrants than any other country in the world. Trump is not going to stop that, he is in favor of legal immigration. The only thing he wants is a secure border to stop the lawlessness on the border states, and a better vetting program to know who is coming in. Other countries do exactly that, so why can't the USA have the same right? Jorge Ramos is a left wing activist, he is in favor of lawlessness and socialism. Just look at Venezuela, to see how socialism can send a country into the abyss.
Jorge is such an astute reporter, I really admire the voice that he gives to minorities and people overall. He's no afraid to put himself in danger and get to the bottom of things. Once upon a time, I admired trump, but his true colors have been shown and I can't fathom the thought of him being our president. Though I'm not a Hilary supporter either, I question who is the lesser of two evils.

In Europe the idea that people from Spain/Portugal and people from Germany/UK say are different ethnicities is just weird. We are all white Europeans. Question: In the US, if someone is from Mexico, are they "Latino" regardless of their ethnic roots? What if they are black? Pure Spanish? Mixed? All still Latino? Or is it all a bit vague?

If we are born in the country: yes, we have a bi-national identity but Latin American culture is very mixed, specially mixed with Spanish, European culture so for a Latino in Mexico to say I am "Spaniard-Mexican" is quite laughable and foreign, we just say I am Venezuelan or I am Colombian or I am Mexican and later if they ask you can explain your "look" if you have European parents or grand parents but is not an important subject, and you do not identify yourself in that way, nor is something you are asked in public application forms... for us is actually quite offensive to being asked about our race in an application form, we simply just don't have such things...

David Gonzalez But Rowdy could have waited at least 2 more seconds before retracting his hand because Jorge immediately followed right after. I did think it was awkward, moreso on Rowdy's part. I thought it looked like Rowdy forgot that Jorge wasn't white (considering his appearance) and then it clicked, like whoops he ain't white. I forgot if it was in Hate Rising or if I saw it on some other documentary (binge watching these things 😂), but many of the people involved with KKK or white supremacy don't even want to be seen touching someone they believe to be inferior.
