Yesterday, I was driving with 3 of my grandchildren, 7, 8, & 13 on our way home from school. I caught this song about half way through in the midst of the kids talking. Immediately though, I said to the kids, listen to this song it was written for you! You truly are precious in God’s sight! My granddaughter wanted me to “replay”it from the radio lol I didn’t know the name but called the radio station to get your name and the title. We ended up playing it several more times at their request on UA-cam until reaching home. Today, I picked up my grandchildren for school, and my youngest granddaughter, 8 gets into the car and begins to tell me it’s been a rough morning for her “sissy,” my oldest granddaughter, with her dad. She did enter my car then in tears. The youngest asked me if we could please play the song we heard yesterday for her sissy, and we surely did, more than once. This song has touched all of our hearts and even brought comfort in the midst of a hard time with the beautiful words and reminder that they do not need to be perfect, for their Abba Father loves them just as they are, and to surrender all those fears & hurts, because He wants those things we are holding on to. This is perfect on it's own but it also fits my struggle where yesterday was 11 months since my husband passed. Widowed at 38 was not in my plan but God has held me every single step and breath. I see now God was being merciful. Also, I'm working on forgiving myself for not being able to help him. God showed me he is with Jesus and I know that's the whole goal of when we leave this world. This is perfect on it's own but it also fits my struggle where yesterday was 11 months since my husband passed. Widowed at 38 was not in my plan but God has held me every single step and breath. I see now God was being merciful. Also, I'm working on forgiving myself for not being able to help him. God showed me he is with Jesus and I know that's the whole goal of when we leave this world. He just wanted everyone to know Jesus and now people in his family have come to Him because of all this❤. To God be the glory even in midst of the tragedy and pain.
