I enjoyed this video and really liked to see the Austin A40s and the Countryman A40 ....and all the other stuff as well ........very interesting fellow ..........I also restore these Old Austin A 40s and am doing a frame off 49 A40 Countryman as we speak ......mine are restored as stock.... I am past putting V8s into these old Austin's even though many were Gassers in the day 1960s because of the boxed frame guys would put 327's into them I put a 351 in my Dorset back in the day ......Yes they are cool built as Hot rods but as the years go by I love them as they came they were very good little cars ..........thanks for showing them the one in the video is a 53 all steel body ......mine is steel front end ...looks the same as his but for the grill .....and the back on mine is Aluminum and mine has the tail gate style or S/W style rear doors ..........I live on the Westcoast of Canada in Victoria BC........mine was bought new by the BC forest service from Fred Dealey in Vancouver 1950
looks like Derek and Doug just became friends. Great that Chad and Jolene were happy to stand back and let them get on with it. Really enjoyable stuff- thank you.
Hi Chad and Jolene that Austin a 40 brings back some memories the saloon version was the first car I worked on when I started my apprenticeship here in the uk I had to replace the head gasket on it never forget the job did I spot a champion spark plug cleaner testing machine there I haven’t see one of those for thirty years thanks for the memories Regards from Derrick Wales UK
Chad and Jolene you are doing a great job showing the world the beautiful car people of Nova Scotia, and they all have dinner jackets! hahaha Doug has found a soul Brother
That Hus-Ski was made in the late sixties....I drove one quite a bit… You had to watch out when you went down a hill ....The steering handle with smash your chin… And when you went up it would smash your knees
Those are called semaphore turn signals. I worked on Porsches for 25 years, when I started at my 1st dealership they also sold Audis & VWs, the VW beetles had semaphore turn signals mounted in the "B" pillars back in those days.
Watching from a km down the road! Intriguing because of the local people. Ive seen the yellow truck personally! Pretty cool! Lov the videos. Derek has his own museum!
Love this stuff. Thanks so much to the owner, Chad,Doug and Joline. So many places like this could be a museum,so much to learn from the old motors ,tools etc.
Looks to be a 1964 Hus-key Ltd. '200' snowmobile which would have had a 8hp JLO motor. My understanding is those wood slats on the track would have originally been clad in stainless steel. Most older Hus-Key snowmobiles you see are yellow. I'm left wondering if Derek's cream & brown one was a prototype? It looks to be original. Fun to see it!
That New Yorker is like getting a bacon cheeseburger with the works. Incredible, love the two Austins. Imagine being a kid and he’s your grampa, what an adventure it would be. Thanks guys for sharing this with us. This is why I love going to the East Coast, best people in the world. Friendly, caring and very giving. Bless you all.👍👍🇨🇦
G'DAY Chad,a very interesting VLOG,that hand plane to me looked like a Mathieson, made in Glasgow, Scotland?, As always Kindest Regards Dave McLaughlin Queensland Australia
Wow , what a nice walk down memory lane- they sure don’t make tools and engines like they used to. It is sad that we are loosing so much the old ways along with the people who had intermittent knowledge on the use of this equipment, thanks Chad for sharing a little look into the past
Excellent except he after upstairs he kept right in Doug’s space. Quite interesting some of it very museum like. PS don’t let Canadian pickers ever show up as they go though only take best of it and only give bottom dollar
Awesome video guys. Nice to see some down to earth people just havin fun lookin at old cars and stuff. Jolene and Chad the video's and content have been great.
When i see something that catches my eye i try to get Jolene's camera to focus on it using my mouse.. Does not seem to be working my end maybe i can get an upgrade
Jolene could you and chad please keep a eye out for a certian car for me? You may know someone who knows who has it. The last i heard it was in berwick, its a 55 oldsmobile 98 holiday 4 door hard top. It was my fathers and i would like to track it down. Any help would be greatly apreciated.
you know chad....its nice to see all the old vehicles but when you do these kind of walkabouts ya can't hear a dam thing anyone is saying....and doug is hard to hear at any time....think you could use a different setup so we can all hear

My neighbor had a husky the same as that and it could pull as many kids as could drag behind. Nothing would stop the thing.

Love this stuff. Thanks so much to the owner, Chad,Doug and Joline.
So many places like this could be a museum,so much to learn from the old motors ,tools etc.
Derrick could have his own show of pre Modern Marvels or How it's made. Great wealth of information about the industrial revolution.

The saloon version of the 2austins were called the Devon it was a4 door and the Dorset was a 2 door very rare cars
Derrick was tickled to show, I appreciate the old tools. They were craftsmen, today running machines, or pushing a pencil.
Hahaha.....”I had to do everything from arsehole to appetite” 🤣🤣🤣
What a cool collection of unique cars and old tools and memorabilia. Dirk is so knowledgeable. Really enjoyed this video.
Chad hangin with the ogs
Chad values the experience, and knowledge of the elders. Cheers.

Funny eh quite proud to say that cars got a hemi in it but he’s got one in his 40 that he wants to switch out to a 305 chev.
Waiting out the adds, got a 3 minuter
I started getting annoyed when he pulled the pointer out and the tape measure out and tapping his stuff with it lol

Chad should quit building cars for a living and become a male model and do the cars on the side.
Chad love your channel. But can you give us a good look at the neck sparrows and throat ribbons.
I without a doubt earned the sparrows . Any advice would be awesome? Thanks.
