He didn’t know that his father had taken his own life until he was ten. Left some scars on him. His mother remarried to a very abusive step-father, who eventually ended up in prison for abusing the family. Hard life for that little boy in England. I was watching this Wednesday when I got a phone call my dad had passed. He had been a minister for over 60 years. I broke down in tears and my 22 year old son just came and held me. 3 generations. I grew up in a christian Household im 27 but for seven years I strayed from the presence of the lord and ventured into the world ignoring everything God had to offer me. I turned into a alcoholic and used to go around and do stuff I'm not proud of...Defiling my body and soul I felt I was in the gutter. I couldn't believe I was vile sinner and now I dine at his table. My parents cried when I came home. If it wasn't his grace I wouldn't be alive I would still be trapped in that cesspool of filth. I knew now the lord has mercy and love us. Just this year I thank Jesus for letting me live. For I know his love is the bigger than mountains, his mercy vast than the oceans and his promises clearer than the skies above. And where they 'drop the ball' is in Times Square (New Years Eve, on TV), where this took place. It's such an iconic place (and definitely not a place where Jesus is worshiped, generally) and to see TRUE worship taking place stirred my heart. I've been there many times, but never to see ANYTHING so profound as this!

I just remember going through basic training at Fort Jackson, and only really getting Sunday morning church service as a time to unwind. They played this every Sunday and had all the trainees singing together with the higher ranking leaders that came to join, just arms on everyone's shoulders. Was a great time. The chaplain would even give the mic to trainees to lead in the songs.

2 years ago I was bedridden. Couldn’t walk. I prayed. Yesterday I went on a 40 mile bike ride. Training for a 5k run. Praise GOD Almighty.

I was watching this Wednesday when I got a phone call my dad had passed. He had been a minister for over 60 years. I broke down in tears and my 22 year old son just came and held me. 3 generations. I know he is in heaven and was welcomed by God with the words of Matthew 25:21. "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! My husband and I visited a school/church/orphanage in Uganda Africa.........and they are so powerful in their worship We all need to seek the Lord the way they do. They have nothing their.......but they have God in their lives, they believe and they trust...........so who seriously has it all.
I grew up in a christian Household im 27 but for seven years I strayed from the presence of the lord and ventured into the world ignoring everything God had to offer me. I turned into a alcoholic and used to go around and do stuff I'm not proud of...Defiling my body and soul I felt I was in the gutter. I couldn't believe I was vile sinner and now I dine at his table. My parents cried when I came home. If it wasn't his grace I wouldn't be alive I would still be trapped in that cesspool of filth. I knew now the lord has mercy and love us. Just this year I thank Jesus for letting me live. For I know his love is the bigger than mountains, his mercy vast than the oceans and his promises clearer than the skies above. A Thomas Right on Mr. Thomas. The "Melting Pot" is a nickname for New York City, because of so many cultures and races mixed into 'one'. And where they 'drop the ball' is in Times Square (New Years Eve, on TV), where this took place. It's such an iconic place (and definitely not a place where Jesus is worshiped, generally) and to see TRUE worship taking place stirred my heart. I've been there many times, but never to see ANYTHING so profound as this!

I just remember going through basic training at Fort Jackson, and only really getting Sunday morning church service as a time to unwind. They played this every Sunday and had all the trainees singing together with the higher ranking leaders that came to join, just arms on everyone's shoulders. Was a great time. The chaplain would even give the mic to trainees to lead in the songs.

What I find so beautiful and powerful to see is that in a big world of so many different people speaking their own languages, our God connects us. I'm from Holland, but it really feels like: we are family. And I think that's the most important thing of our faith: Love, especially in this rough world.

@@davidbradley387 I am sorry for your misunderstanding, what I believe he is trying to say is that Jesus loves a sinner and that's true but he hates sin and hopes the sinner will get rid of sin , if Jesus didnt love sinners that sinners would have no hope to be saved, so he isn't saying that the people who disliked are saved he is saying that are still loved and remember in his first coming he came for the sinners
Jesus loves sinners, why did he die and the cross and rise again? For us, his love was everlasting, his love is overflowing. He is against sin, which sin came from Lucifer. So Jesus is against Lucifer, not man.
